AFC Championship

New York Knights at Birmingham Fire

The Fire were AFC East champions but two of their losses were to New York !  The Knights are full of momentum and really feel they can win here again.  New Yorks DE DeAngelo Lloyd came away with an injury in last weeks game but wont miss out on this AFC Championship game.  His safety in the game against Mexico was huge.  Birmingham had a good game from HB Lee ReShard who returned from injury and Joe Hamilton didnt sweat at all in his last minute drive to win the game.  New York will rely on their veterans Phil Stambaugh at QB, WR Matthew Hatchette and DeMario Brown at HB and their great defense.  The Fire defense is very underrated, they shut down Jarrett Payton last week as Ohio tried to pound the ball against them, they might do the same against HB Brown.  Veteran NY DE Demoine Adams had a HUGE game with a sack, a recovered fumble and also made the hit on QB JT O'Sullivan which led to DeAngelo Lloyd recovering the ball for a touchdown.  S Sano also ran across to knock the ball out of Sedick Irvins hands for a fumble which sealed the win.  Birmingham should be favourites because they are at home but with NY beating them twice this year, we think this might be an upset ?

EFC Championship

Scottish Claymores at Amsterdam Admirals

Claymores GM Ronnie Munro couldnt believe the win last week against London.  London looked the better side for most of the game but the screen pass to Octobre was sensational. Amsterdam nearly looked human last week for 3 quarters until scoring 21 4Q points, they appeared nervous but surely for this game they'll be far better ?  Scotland have a great team and people are forgetting they were 12-2 this year, the 3rd best record in FWL history.  They badly miss their injured CB Terrance Leftwich and DT Eddie Freeman but are getting players back from injury.  Amsterdam need to play better than last week as they are looking to make history. They are 15-0 but a loss here would ruin everything.  As good as Scotland are we cant look past a 15-0 team.
