London Monarchs GM

WWW

Offense

QB

Drew Henson is the starter 100% but the backup will be Travis Brown who the London GM is a fan of since his scrambling days as a rookie and his 2nd year in Raleigh-Durham.  3rd stringer Bryan Randall is an interesting prospect who could really develop if he keeps learning well, he needs strength and more intelligence but can do that behind Henson.

RB

A weak RB corps picked up some potentially exciting rookies in Mike Bell and Lousaka Polite.  Joe Hall is of course the starter and has amazing skills and has a few good years left in him yet.  Joseph Smith looks good on paper but has terrible hands and has hardly played over the years.  FB Ben Miller is an excellent blocker for Hall but also has poor hands.  Rookie Lousaka Polite could be one to watch in the future.

WR

Dan Sheldon who the Monarchs took a chance on last year came through to have a huge season with over 1000 yards and becoming a real deep threat.  The surprise was the trade of former 1st round pick Kassim Osgood to Montreal, thats because London really like their young backups and all of them improved a lot in camp.  Christopher Liess should start at WR2 and has superb speed and agility but he'll be looking over his shoulder.  Young Burt Toler had a superb camp and could be one to watch, hes only in his second season.  Aaron Hosack looks superb also and Cole Mager is a decent backup.  At TE Dan Curley returns as starter but the best all round TE is actually veteran Jeff Nicholson.  Rookie Brett Pierce was a surprise in camp and is a future starter.

O-Line

Try as they might with several highly drafted linemen the last few years the starters this year again are the veterans.  They average 8.5 years a starter which makes them probably the oldest line in the league but they are talented specially at C and T.  The young backups should be future starters but they stil need a lot of work.

Special Teams

K Tyler Jones is one of the best in the business and could be one of the best of all time if he carries on with his current pace.  P Brian Simnjanovski has done well with the Monarchs and wont lose his job at all.  They are carrying Seth Marler who did well in camp and surely someone will trade for him, London wont cut him and would rather keep him on the roster.

Defense

D-Line

Years of developing paid off last year as Eric Powell finally started all year and was superb.  A brilliant fast strong player Powell should start for many more years.  His partner Mark Word has come back for one more season and had a great 10+ sack season last year.  Backup is Benjamin Lindner who has progressed well and has talent and could play at DT as well.

At DT Aaron Hunt is a huge monster in the middle and iis a young player who has come through and should start for many years.  Former 1st round pick Melila Purcell has been a flop so far but has improved slowly and could start in the future specially if Jake Sparks slows.  Backup is rookie James Wyche who surprisingly made the roster and has talent.

LB's

A fine set of LB's this year with veterans mixed with youth.  Mark Brown will start once again and will move towards the all time tackling record.  A talented player Brown is the perfect LB.  His partner is Bobby Brooks who makes sacks and is a very fast player, 10th year Tito Rodriguez had great skills and could start for many other teams out there but may be just LB3 with London.  Last years top pick Anthony Trucks played well as a rookie with 59 tackles and a sack but such is the depth of Londons LB's he may play at only LB4.  Backups include Derek Curry who has talent and rookies Simmons a 1st round pick and Polk.

Secondary

With many retirements the secondary looked to be in a mess but despite not much depth theres still a lot of talent.  The starting safety is the hard hitting Eric Hill Jnr who has a superb camp and looks great, his partner is Willie Ford who came over in a trade last year but was only a backup.  Ford needs more speed and may try to fight off a challenge from Erik Smith, a late FA pickup in camp from Austria who did well in training camp.  Veteran Erwin Swiney has talent but needs a bit more strength to go along with his great speed.

At CB Jeremy LeSuer is on course to be the best CB of all time, he has amazing skills and most teams dont even throw his way.  His partner last year was former starting safety Richard Yancey who might lose his place to young Evan Oglesby who looks an ideal CB alongside LeSuer.  Young Patrick Body is another one to watch in the future.
