The Knights made some changes in the off season.  The veterans Phil Stambaugh and Demario Brown met with the GM before last season and promised to take the team to the playoffs if they were given the chance.  GM Phil Schofield decided to allow them to take the riegns of the offense and they led the team to the first appearance in the playoffs under Schofield.  They met again in the off season and both thanked Schofield for the opportunity and agreed that it was time for QB Jason Campbell and RB Gerald Riggs, Jnr. to assume the duties as the backfield.  Brown and Stambaugh both told Schofield that they would help the team any way they can, even if it is to back up the others.  We will see what occurs in the first few weeks and if Riggs and Campbell can step up to the plate.

There were additions to the secondary and in the linebacker corps.  The changes will not be seen right away, but they are set for the future.  Number one pick Josh Gattis is poised to start at the Safety position and looks to make an immediate contribution to the team.  The defensive line has returning veterans who all have double digits in sacks and look to stop the run once again and stop the pass by applying pressure on the opposing quarterbacks.

The Knights are looking forward to a great season.  They are looking forward to a strong game against Birmingham.

Despite the tough loss you played very well against the Fire who were one of the top teams last year and had one of the best defenses so 20 points on them was no easy thing.

Good game by you despite the loss
