London Monarchs GM

WWW
« on: August 10, 2006, 05:07:08 AM »

With the acquisition of two new defensive players the Monarchs made a bold change on their defensive line and also gained a new starter amongst the LB's.

Speedy veteran Brian Rogers has been named the LB2 for London pushing youngsters John Leake and Derrick Ford down the roster.  Monarchs legend Keith Miller might only be playing on special teams this season.  Veteran Kinnon Tatum nearly lost his LB1 job but for now is job is safe.

The biggest shakeups came on the defensive line....

DE Mark Word who is trying to become the all time leading sacker this season has been moved to DT1 as has last years rookie Charles Hill who had 11 sacks who will play next to Word at DT2.  Both players are very strong and quick but the management think they are best suited at this stage to the defensive tackle position

At DE the Monarchs have some great speed.  Junior Ioane a former DT moves to DE1 and with his blazing 80 speed and 79 acceleration the Monarchs hope he will prove to be a great player this season.  Alongside him is former NY Knight Eric Powell. Powell a backup with NY moves to DE2 and with his blazing 82 SP and 73 AC its hoped he will make some plays on the line.

Some bold moves on the defensive line.  Only one player this time last year (Ioane) is still starting out of the original Monarchs d-line.  The whole defense has changed thanks to the Surge players coming over and several offseason trades
