Title: New York Runs for the Playoffs!
Post by: philip-newyork on May 18, 2008, 05:56:17 PM
New York, New York - General Manager Phil Schofield made a few moves this week, the last of the trading for the year.  In a HUGE move, WR Jeris McIntyre came over from Sacramento for the Knights 2nd round draft pick.  McIntyre was interviewed entering the locker room today with his luggage in hand.  He had a broad smile.  He said that "I felt that I was just occupying space, but now I feel I have a purpose.  The GM and Coach Sims told me that I was brought over to help us win.  That means a lot to me.  I will give this team my very best."  New York now has two down field wide outs that will stretch the defense to the breaking point.

Also in a great trade, the Knights aquired DE Angelo Lloyd and a third round pick from Sacramento for New York's first round pick.  It was a heavy price for Schofield, but he was able to add the league leader in sacks to compliment his veterans Wright and Demoine Adams.  The addition of Lloyd gives the front four of New York a total of 36 sacks!!!!

It will be difficult to run on the Knights.  GM Schofield is looking forward to a strong rest of the year.
