Title: All time scores
Post by: Andrew-Neutral on April 05, 2005, 04:08:23 AM
I've updated the All Time Results section, and it can be found at

http://www.battyeweb.org.uk/alltime.html

This contains all regular season games up to the end of Season 12.

Apologies in advance for the nasty pink colouring - I must sort out that Style Sheet.

Thank you Andrew !

A great site and I love these kind of stats.

Well especially as my team looks very good ;-)

1st overall winning percentage
1st winning percentage on the road !
2nd winning percentage at home (Rhein is 1st)

Very well done Andrew,

thank you for the work !

And my team looks very bad,

Worst overall record,
Only 15 road wins in 12 seasons!

At least I'm not bottom in number of home wins! I'm joint bottom with Amsterdam!

Let us see how things change after this season!

The script which generates the All-Time results is written in PHP. Originally, it looked on the FWL site for the latest scores (in sched.html), but the relevant command (fopen) no longer works as my webmaster thinks it is a safety risk. Never mind.

And, as it generates results for every team, it takes a long time to run. PHP scripts can only run for 10secs on my webserver, which is not long enough. So, I download the scores onto my home PC, and run the script from there, to generate a HTML file.

If anyone wants the script - to improve it, or to make it work better, or to use with another league - please get in touch.

Hi Andrew, when i get time i'll update the FWL to go to this link instead of the one at the FWL site

Its great looking at the all time rivalries etc !

Amazing that Montreal are 23-3 in their last 26 home games but 2 of those losses were to the Skyhawks !! (both very close)

The next project will be called "Streaky" and will generate the longest winning and losing streaks for each team (home, away and all games). I know that Paris once won 5 games in a row (hard to believe), but it'll be fun to see how everyone else's done. I'll add playoff games to the all-time scores section one day!
