Title: State of the Knights - Campbell on his way out? Post by: philip-newyork on November 15, 2008, 08:50:27 AM The Knights cant seem to catch a break. There have been several key injuries, but they are still excited. Converted FB Quincy Wilson met with the GM and after a long conversation, Wilson was moved to starting HB. Riggs, Jnr was moved to a back-up roll, which he is familiar with. Riggs just cannot seem to perform in the starting roll. The move was easy to make at this time as veteran Brown and Riggs are both nursing injuries.
QB Jason Campbell also had a meeting with the GM and voiced his displeasure with being demoted to 3rd string QB and being placed inactive. After the meeting, GM Phil Schofield stated that he would be recieving offers for Campbell from all teams. He is on the trading block. What is with the sacks? Surprisingly the Knights have only 8 sacks this year after having several of the tough defensive line in double digits last year. Management feels that they are just off to a slow start and as the season drives on, they will pick up the pace. They are all veterans and want to win, not pad their stats. Knights are beginning to march. Title: Re: State of the Knights - Campbell on his way out? Post by: Paul-London on November 17, 2008, 03:44:02 AM Riggs is a strange one, on paper he looks superb but when given the chance doesnt do much. Quincy Wilson i think is an excellent HB/FB. Jason Campbell did okay a few years back when he started but the team seems to come alive with Phil Stambaugh, he doesnt throw a ton of td's anymore but puts up the numbers
