Title: Playoff race Post by: Paul-London on January 05, 2009, 01:45:49 PM AFC
1 - Montreal 12-1 (In playoffs) 2 - Ohio 9-4 (In playoffs) 3 - Raleigh-Durham 9-3-1 (In playoffs) 4 - Birmingham 8-5 (In playoffs) The playoffs are settled in the AFC, if Ohio lose in Week 14 and Birmingham win then the Fire will win the division , both teams are tied 1-1 this year but Birmingham have the better divisional record. EFC 1 - Berlin 9-4 2 - London 8-4-1 3 - Frankfurt 7-5-1 4 - Scotland 7-6 Austria 7-6 6 - Amsterdam 6-7 Very tight in the EFC. With Scotland losing London move ahead in the EFC West. Berlin can clinch the top seed with a win or a London loss. Frankfurt are right in the pack but face Montreal in the final week ! Austria are favourites to win at home against Paris. And Scotland ? Yep you guessed it, Scotland at London in the final week ! Amsterdam still have a slight glimmer of hope but have to win in the final week, then it comes down to tiebreakers. Sorry I meant the EFC, haha!! Title: Re: Playoff race Post by: Paul-London on January 09, 2009, 10:07:35 AM Looks like its Raleigh at Ohio (or maybe Birmingham). Raleigh still having an amazing year despite the last few weeks

The Admirals and Musketeers are out, Berlin and London have won the divisions, although this week will determine which is the #1 seed. For wild card spots: Frankfurt needs a win or a loss by either Austria or Scotland. Scotland needs a win, or a loss by Austria. Austria needs a win AND a loss by either Frankfurt or Scotland. And as I have never, ever, ever been able to get a crucial victory in this league, Scotland and Frankfurt can start booking flights. Interesting year in the EFC, so many teams in the mix, shame to see Amsterdam just fall to pieces though specially after last year. Ultra tight in the EFC, if Paris won one or two games more (Specially against Barcelona) they would have still been in the mix late on. Looks like it could be tight next year |
