Title: AFC divisional alignment Post by: jcompton-Orlando on November 04, 2005, 12:42:22 PM BTW, Paul, I can't remember if we discussed this back when the league was new, but I was reminded while making some adjustments to the Wikipedia article on NFL Europe:
Why is Birmingham in the AFC East and Montreal in the AFC West? That's flip-flopped from their World League configuration. Not to mention, why is R/D in the West? Although the divisional shakeup in the EFC was not, overall, a success (particularly since it broke up the EFC and arguably the league's best rivalry), what about looking at realignment in the AFC? East: NY/NJ Ohio Orlando Montreal R/D West: SA SAC MEX BIR This puts all the WLAF teams back in their original divisions and gets the practically East Coast R/D out of a "West" conference. Plus enables a "natural rivalry" between the Glory and Skyhawks (schizophrenia, perhaps?) |
