Title: Winning streaks and losing streaks.... Post by: Mario ADK on November 22, 2004, 02:51:58 PM I found some crazy figures while writing my playoff-articles: I give you a good bet when Montreal and Mexico meet next time in Montreal:
Montreal: Have WON in regular season games at home since week 5 of season#10 (17 games!) ==> They are 26-1 at home since week1 of season#9! Mexico: Have NOT WON away since week 10 of season#10 (15 games!) So i put 1000 € on Montreal next time ;D Title: Re: Winning streaks and losing streaks.... Post by: Niki on November 22, 2004, 02:59:21 PM A couple of seasons ago (between season 9 and 10 if I am correct) Andrew had made an overview per team what their record was at home and away and team against team. If I am correct Frankfurt lost only 3 home games between season 1 and 9. I know this number is now higher since I already beat them twice in franfurt since then. But it is a fact that playing at home is much easier then playing away.
@Andrew: does that site still excist and if so what is the address of it? Title: Re: Winning streaks and losing streaks.... But it is a fact that playing at home is much easier then playing away. I wrote a little PHP page which used the 'schedule.htm' file from the FWL to generate all-time results. Unfortunately, my webmaster then disallowed the use of a PHP command which I used to open the schedule.htm file on Paul's webserver, so the page will not update automatically.@Andrew: does that site still excist and if so what is the address of it? I generated the all-time results for seasons 1 - 11 and sent the file to Paul to put on the FWL site. I don't think he's put them on, however. Title: Re: Winning streaks and losing streaks.... Post by: Paul-London on November 23, 2004, 09:04:38 AM Oops sorry Andrew
Mistake on my part, must have missed doing it and totally forgot about it If you can send me the HTML file again i'll upload it this weekend and put a link on the main website for it, sorry Title: Re: Winning streaks and losing streaks.... Time for a new one!Mistake on my part, must have missed doing it and totally forgot about it If you can send me the HTML file again i'll upload it this weekend and put a link on the main website for it, sorry Title: Re: Winning streaks and losing streaks.... Post by: Marco_Frankfurt on November 24, 2004, 04:18:50 AM Hi,
unfortunately my winning at home was not that good ;-) I lost even 3 at home in the first season. For seasons 1-11 W-L at home for my team were: 61-16 away 46-13 During the playoffs (seasons 1-10) I was 7-0 at home but 4-8 away So I would say homefieldadvantage is crucial in the playoffs. Title: Re: Winning streaks and losing streaks.... Post by: David-Montreal on November 24, 2004, 05:01:20 AM So far, from week 13 of 2001 until now, I am 39-10 at home and 25-24 away during the regualr season.
Title: Re: Winning streaks and losing streaks.... Post by: Niki on November 24, 2004, 05:04:42 AM I am not that good since season 9 Home 15-11 and away 10-18

Through the first nine seasons, their home record was something like 55-8.@Andrew: does that site still excist and if so what is the address of it? Title: Re: Winning streaks and losing streaks.... Post by: Mario ADK on November 24, 2004, 03:25:06 PM Well:
ONE streak sensationally ended and the second almost did. Is Montreal collapsing now as they might NOT have a home-game in the playoffs??? Will be good to watch...... |
