Title: Barnes Post by: David-Montreal on April 17, 2006, 04:45:03 AM I love Berlin starting Barnes at D-4.... and apparently the game doesnt take a D-4 injury serious enough... as Barnes goes 12 of 17 for 191 and 2 TD's.
So much for a youth movement as Gesser sits on the bench, wondering what the hell he has to do to get a start! Title: Re: Barnes Post by: Paul-London on April 17, 2006, 04:54:32 AM Well Andreas did email me to say he knows it is a crazy move but he badly wants Barnes to reach 45,000 yards before he retires. Hes a big fan of his and is very loyal to him. With his losing record i can see why he did it, was very strange but a hobbling Pat Barnes did quite well even though his team had just 9 first downs
Title: Re: Barnes Post by: Mario ADK on April 17, 2006, 07:08:31 AM crazy stats for a D-4-QB indeed.....
:o Title: Re: Barnes Post by: Marco_Frankfurt on April 18, 2006, 05:37:23 AM Andreas did ask me before the game and I never thought a D-4 would play the whole game !
A couple of snaps yes, then his low EN should him put out of the game. Obviously low EN is not a big thing for QBs. Crazy indeed, and then one of his best games of the season. Title: Re: Barnes Post by: Niki on April 18, 2006, 05:51:12 AM EN is funny, every time Heurta was injured and my HB2 Smith has to play he did not play all snaps of that game but when my HB2 started the game he was playing all snaps.
well when a player is D in the NFL he will play when it is really necessary (combination of a key player and a key game) you do not see it a lot but from time to time it happens (if I am correct T.O. was a D before de SB game two years ago) Well that Barnes played all game is maybe a result that he was not much on the field (28:04 min) and most plays were running games (18 vs 31) Title: Re: Barnes Post by: Marco_Frankfurt on April 18, 2006, 06:23:16 AM If a player is injured during the game (even only P-2) then he will not return during that game.
He may return if he is just P-1. So the backup will play the reminder of the game. However if you put in an allready injured player, then he is in as long as his EN is not below the substitution level. But I thought he would have all his ratings reduced by a certain amount for the injury. I know a 'P' injury is -10% on all ratings“. So I thought a D player would have lets say -50% or so (I dont know the exact number) on his ratings and therefore should play badly and also only a shorter time. But you are right Niki, I have not seen the play-by-play maybe the drives were short and therefore not so exhausting for Barnes. So the backup will play the reminder of the game. yes I agree with that but when Huerta is my HB1 and gets injured during the game my HB2 (Smith) is doing then the most runs and my HB3 (Lee) has some runs(first time 1 run, second time 2 runs) but when I start Smith as HB1 and Lee is HB2, Lee has mo action at all, that is funny in my eyes Title: Re: Barnes Post by: Mario ADK on April 18, 2006, 06:44:29 AM isn“t it good to see that there are still secrets in the coding?
i like that. |
