Title: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Paul-London on April 28, 2006, 05:17:52 AM WR Shockman Davis, an 8th round draft pick, a 3rd round draft pick (Next season) (Frankfurt) for WR Mark Bartosic and a 4th round draft pick (Paris)
Good trade for both teams, Paris pick up a quality WR in Davis who could potentially start at WR2 or WR3 this year for the club. Shockman has no receptions so far in his FWL career but has great speed, Frankfurt pick up Bartosic who has 8 catches for 123 yards in his career so far. Davis was originally a 5th round draft pick by Austria and played for Austria in Season 13 and 14 and was a backup with Frankfurt this year. Bartosic was originally a 3rd round pick by London at the end of season 13 and was one of the players taken over from London - Paris when their GM moved Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Mario ADK on May 17, 2006, 02:19:09 PM To Raleigh: OL Ziemann plus DB Spears plus 4th round (FRA) plus 5th round (FRA)
To Austria: 1st round (AUS) One of the best OL in the league, aging Guard Ziemann plus one of the best backup-DBs in the league S Spears plus two picks leave Austria in order to get GM Kreiner his own first round pick back. Ziemann and Spears are not the youngst but will immediately start and will defenitely improve Raleigh, who should be a factor in season #16 Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Paul-London on May 18, 2006, 03:13:02 AM Still talking your players up ! Not sure what to make of this trade and who got the best deal. Zieman i wouldnt say is one of the best OL in the league, he hasnt been named All-FWL either of the last 3 years but on your team which is full of stars he fits in well. I do think he will upgrade the Raleigh line but i think its a bit over the top to say hes one of the best OL in the league.
Spears was a good addition as he'll instantly be the fastest DB for Raleigh and can start straight away at S1 or CB1. Quite a high price to pay but then again its the last pick of Round 1 so for trading that pick Raleigh do get two instant starters Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Mark-skyhawks on May 18, 2006, 10:44:25 AM Well I thought it was better to get two starters and two picks rather than one
starter in a draft which I expect will not be as good as last year and the players are at two postions I need but many of my trades seem not to work out :( Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Paul-London on May 18, 2006, 11:44:52 AM Dont get me wrong it wasnt a bad one, just Mario saying hes one of the best OL's in the league was a bit OTT !
However like you say you've got two starters, your secondary (like mine) has been decimated by retirements and you have automatically your best DB on a weak secondary. There will be good draftees but just not as good as last year. Still working on it Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: joshroberts1987 on May 18, 2006, 12:32:19 PM To Orlando: WR Jimmy Robinson and 3rd Round Draft Pick
To Birmingham: TE Joel Jacobs Orlando pick up WR jimmy Robinson, a player that they had targeted earlier on in the offseason as they feel he is a player who will improve their offence considerably, hopefully putting up big numbers. They also acquire yet another pick for this years draft which they can use in order to help improve their roster for next season. Going in the other direction is TE Joel Jacobs a player that Birmingham had targeted for this offseason. Overall both teams seem extremley happy with the trade. Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Paul-London on May 19, 2006, 03:40:45 AM Very nice trade, the TE is a good player for Birmingham but when you have other young talented TE's on your roster you could afford to make that trade easily. Backup TE3 Anelli has great HA of 91
With only 2 Orlando WR's with 90+ SP the trade for Robinson is a very good move, Robinson with his great speed could also be a great PR. Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Paul-London on May 19, 2006, 04:58:01 AM FRA gives:
this season 1st round pick for RAL: A HB2 20 Lewis, Jonas OK 6 91 90 88 88 87 83 83 81 Good trade for the Skyhawks. They effectively have moved up a few places in the first round , grabbed two later draft picks, got two starters on the offensive line and secondary and it cost them a backup HB who with Alexander in the mix (even though he can be injury prone) Lewis was never going to get many carries. Lewis could be the new starter with Frankfurt with perhaps Hicks moving back to FB. Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Marco_Frankfurt on May 19, 2006, 05:11:45 AM Actually we should wait if Mark agrees to the trade (what i hope and believe) :)
If the trade is happen then, depending of outcome of the training camp, Lewis will start at FB and Hicks remains starting HB. On my part its a bit of a risk, because the rookies are not published yet, so I may have get a better or at least younger player instead. However Lewis instantly would fill in a need I have and could help me 2-3 seasons at least. So this is a trade for immediate help and against long term building of my team. Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Paul-London on May 19, 2006, 08:30:31 AM Well Lewis i think can be a very good player, has very good skills but he didnt have the best OL in his previous years starting with Raleigh. Curtis Alexander is the main man now so Lewis is a luxury Mark can afford to trade.
Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Mark-skyhawks on May 19, 2006, 11:38:59 AM Well I think that was one of the main problems with Lewis(the lake of a good O-Line)
but I do hope he playes well for Frankfurt (but not to well against the Skyhawks:)) Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Mario ADK on May 23, 2006, 02:50:02 PM To New York:
G Neal plus WR Black To Austria: 2nd round pick (NY) plus OL Clabo Austria digs another hole in its offensive line by giving away one of their starters and now only got 3 starters left from last season but gets a nice pick. ADK also gets young prospect Clabo in return, who will not start next season but is a promise for the future. Neal is a good grab for NY as the market for good OL is very thin at the moment and with only 3 WRs on the roster NY needed to add some deph and adds young WR Black. Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: micheàl-no team on May 25, 2006, 01:53:00 AM WR Anthony Bright (Paris) for a 3rd round pick and two 4th round picks (Birmingham)
While I didn't really want to part with Bright I did pick up some much needed draft picks Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Mario ADK on May 26, 2006, 01:15:03 AM To Paris:
1st round (AUS) plus 2nd round (NY) plus 3rd round (BER) To Austria: 1st roudn (PAR) Austria gets it "usual" top draft-pick (3rd overall) in exchange for a couple of nice picks that could help Paris re-establish a future top-team.... Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Mario ADK on July 16, 2006, 06:33:07 AM Paul, i find it rather dangerous that BOTH the trade-page AND the draft-pick-page are not updated.
The FWL has been silent for many weeks now and once it all starts there might be troubles sorting things out that happend something like 2 or 3 months ago.... Even i have troubles to identify which draft-picks i have myself after all the trading i have done before. all i know is that the draft-pick-page is not near the actual status.... hope you find some time to update it (btw: the GM-stats are not displayed in the updated version like you said ==> there must be a tecnical problem!) Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Paul-London on July 17, 2006, 03:41:23 AM Well now that the FWL's alive again i'll go through my old emails tonight/tomorrow morning and look at any trades which havent been updated and get that sorted out soon
As for genman.htm i havent a clue whats happened there. Just downloaded the one from the FTP site, double clicked it on my computer and its the latest one. Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Mario ADK on July 27, 2006, 03:31:45 PM New one:
To Raleigh: WR Bell To Austria: 2nd rounder, NEXT season Bell, a WR4 in Austria could start in many teams and will do so in Raleigh..... Kreiner starts the season with a nice pick for next season...... Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Paul-London on July 28, 2006, 04:52:00 AM LB Richard Adjei, a 3rd round pick this season and a 3rd round pick next year (London) for TE Ryan Prince, LB Derrick Ford and CB Devon Harper (Amsterdam)
Large trade involving both teams. Amsterdam get a great young prospect in LB Adjei who is very talented and two high draft picks. London get a great veteran TE who will start instantly, a young LB in Ford with good potential and defensive secondary help in Harper who again will start. Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Mario ADK on July 29, 2006, 01:32:52 PM Latest:
To Raleigh: LB Beutler To Austria: 6th rounder (this season) 7th rounder (NEXT season) 8th rounder (NEXT season) Good trade for both. Beutler could still start at some teams and will do fine this season. In return Kreiner gets some picks and opens up roster-space for the rookies...... Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Mario ADK on July 30, 2006, 01:08:18 PM Another one:
To Austria: 3rd round NEXT season plus 6th round THIS season To Barcelona: C Mercier Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Mario ADK on July 30, 2006, 01:09:55 PM Latest, just second before the draft started:
To Austria: 3rd round NEXT season plus 5th round THIS season To Scotland: FB Witherspoon Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Mario ADK on July 31, 2006, 04:11:40 PM aaaaaaaand another one:
To Paris: 5th round (SCO) THIS season To Austria: 6th + 7th + 8th round (all PARs picks) NEXT season Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Mario ADK on July 31, 2006, 05:19:24 PM To Montreal: G Soeker To Austria: 8th rounder (NEXT season) (David withdrew from his offer after my ok and i accepted that.... but hey, we where close, wheren´t we?) Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Mario ADK on August 01, 2006, 06:21:03 AM here we got another one:
To Paris: QB Priestley plus a conditional 7th round NEXT season AUS (6th if he retires after the season) To Austria: CB Canonico FINALLY Priestley walks on after sitting on the bench for quite some time. He hopes to be promoted to QB2 at some day.... Kreiner gets a much needed backup-CB as he currently only filled active spots...... Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Niki on August 01, 2006, 06:22:48 AM To Austria: CB Canonico @ Marco: is this the Conanico I traded to you last year for a 8th round pick, I think his value has been increased after this years draft :) Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Mario ADK on August 01, 2006, 06:25:10 AM a bigger one:
To London: 3rd round pick AUS (NEXT season) plus 3rd round pick BAR (NEXT season) To Austria: QB Symons Simons moves on for a very high price and battles with Matt Mauck for the backup-role behind Anes and London improves its next seasons draft rating substantially..... Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Mario ADK on August 01, 2006, 06:27:27 AM @ Marco: is this the Conanico I traded to you last year for a 8th round pick, I think his value has been increased after this years draft :) MARIO, right? not sure. did i ever have this guy? cannot remember. must have picked him up from the FAs and traded him immediately.... nevertheless i needed an 8th DB and he has nice ratings AND i finally got rid of Priestley to make room for Symons... i am sathisfied. Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Paul-London on August 01, 2006, 06:34:40 AM Yeah he used to be a FA, was picked up and then traded. His value has suddenly shot up ! Perhaps a small error on Marios part ;)
Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Niki on August 01, 2006, 06:49:02 AM In season 14 Amsterdam signed him as a FA. Between season 14 and 15 I traded him to Frankfurt:
S Ed Canonico (Amsterdam) for an 8th round draft pick (Frankfurt) during season 15 Frankfurt traded him to Paris: DE Rob Flickinger (Paris) for S Ed Canonico and WR Craig Bragg (Frankfurt) and now he is traded to Austria Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Paul-London on August 01, 2006, 06:50:07 AM Hes clocked up a lot of air miles that player !
Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Mario ADK on August 01, 2006, 06:57:36 AM Yeah he used to be a FA, was picked up and then traded. His value has suddenly shot up ! Perhaps a small error on Marios part ;) depends: 1) I BADLY needed an 8th DB otherwise i would have had to pick up one of the FAs in case of (most likely occurring) injuries and i would not like that.... 2) I think the DB-draft-class was crap and Canonico was VERY cheap compared to draftees... 3) I tried to get rid of Priestley for a couple of weeks and did not get one single offer, so he seems to be of much less value than i thougt.... So at least i get something out of him... 4) Canonico can and will still improve and he will move on in one or two seasons - for a nice(r) price... i think it is a "ok-deal", regardless what he has cost in the past..... Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Paul-London on August 01, 2006, 07:57:57 AM Yeah Priestley is a good player but i think one problem we have is that there are too many good QB's in the league. Granted a lot of them are untested but either way the league is swamped with great QB's.
This year only Henson and Allen (Rhein) were really the only decent ones and i aim in the next few drafts to not have that many great QB's as we have too many. Some teams have talented #2's and #3's ! Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Mario ADK on August 01, 2006, 08:03:14 AM Some teams have talented #2's and #3's ! i guess i´ve heard of one ;D ;D ;D Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Mario ADK on August 02, 2006, 02:02:52 AM must be my 12th trade this season and we are not yet at the start of the traingins-camp :o :
To Austria: 5th round (RAL) THIS season plus 6th round (FRA) THIS season To Frankfurt: 4th round (AUS) NEXT season Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Mario ADK on August 04, 2006, 04:59:56 PM ******************************************************
FIRST TRADE AFTER THE DRAFT ENDED (all picks are for NEXT season): ****************************************************** After wasting a 4th rounder for useless 5th/6th round picks here is another waste of jewellery of Kreiner: To Austria: C Mabry To London: WR Hosack plus 7th round (AUS) Kreiner adds another young but useless backup-backup-OL to his squad, London gets a WR with good hands but low endurance.... Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Paul-London on August 05, 2006, 04:43:24 AM Well you say its a waste but its one of those things, a bit of a lottery. If you strike gold then you think its a great move, if you dont then a bad move.
Next season i'll have to make the sleepers a bit more random. I think some of the GM's worked out my tactics ! Eg some of the real stars of NFL Europe if their stats were low i would make them the sleepers (And make DE Chris Cooper a former Oakland Raider). If Birmingham had the top 5 picks of Round 5 they might have drafted 5 sleepers ! Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Mario ADK on August 05, 2006, 05:11:10 AM well, i rather was surprised that i only had 1-2 sleepers on my draft list of 20 players - so i think i got to learn from Michel how YOU tic when it comes to sleepers.
Yes of course: the part 2 is mainly a hunt for sleepes and we all know that some stars are underrated and that you do this in order to make them sleepers. i scrolled thru some stats inorder to find out who the possible propects are.... (i do not like the ideas of sleepers anyway ANDi THINK they should be reduced to THREE instead of FIVE. Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Mark-skyhawks on August 05, 2006, 03:43:51 PM I really like the sleepers it puts more of a value on picks . And this has nothing to do with me
drafting a sleeper in the last two seasons ;D Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Mario ADK on August 06, 2006, 04:09:36 AM ok, good point Mark.
I adjust my opinion: YES to sleepers as those low picks would be of much lesser worth without them. NO to 5 of them, 3 or them are enough. Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Mark-skyhawks on August 06, 2006, 01:41:09 PM Another Trade
To R-D C 69 Sargent, Kevin OK 11 71 82 86 89 76 79 76 76 TO Austria 8th Round Pick (R-D) Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Paul-London on August 08, 2006, 09:32:25 AM DE Eric Powell and LB Brian Rogers (New York) for DE Danny Watts, a 3rd round pick (S16) and a 4th round pick (S17) (London)
London pick up the promising Powell who they will try at DE because of his speed. Rogers a veteran will start immediately for London who add some much needed speed. New York pick up veteran Watts who is a good DE or DT and some important draft picks Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Mario ADK on August 09, 2006, 01:59:34 AM To Austria:
WR Jennings plus 5th round pick (BIR) To Birmingham: S Howard plus 2nd round pick (AUS) Great grab for both teams, even if Kreiner paid a lot for a future Starter and current WR3 Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Mark-skyhawks on August 09, 2006, 04:17:11 PM Another trade, between R-D-S and Scotland
To R-D-S 4th round Pick (Scotland) To Scotland DE3 62 Jolly, Terry OK 8 73 77 77 80 62 71 71 65 Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Paul-London on August 15, 2006, 06:01:43 AM HB Jamal Robertson and a 4th round pick (London) for a 2nd round pick (Barcelona)
Huge trade. London trade their starting HB so who will be their new starter ? Barcelona pick up a new HB and move former starter Marlion Jackson to the FB position. Robertson is probably the best pass receiver ever amongst RB's and also a great rusher. Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Paul-London on August 15, 2006, 10:53:13 AM LB Issac Keys, WR James Adkisson and FB Joe Hall (New York) for DT Omari Hand, LB Keith Miller and a 1st round draft pick)
Huge trade for both teams. London do a lot of adjustments to their roster and pick up 3 new players. Keys will instantly start for a LB rich London, Adkisson is a former 1st round pick with talent who could start and FB Hall is potentially going to play at HB. New York pick up Hand an intriguing player on the d-line, veteran Miller who had a great season last year and a possible high 1st round pick. Some expensive trading for me but i'm getting the players i want for the future. Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Paul-London on August 15, 2006, 03:43:35 PM T Michael Moore and a 1st round draft pick (Paris) for LB Ben Mahdavi, WR Scottie Vines and G Ulish Booker (London)
Large trade for both teams and London make another large blockbuster. London get a 1st round pick and backup T Moore. They send talented Ben Mahdavi to Paris who should start immediately, G Booker who should also start and a speed WR in Vines. Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Mario ADK on August 15, 2006, 05:20:33 PM To Paris:
G Hopkins To Austria: 5th round (PAR) and 6th round (MEX) Good trade for both as Kreiner is full of OL on his roster and Paris gets a nice young man Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Mario ADK on August 15, 2006, 05:24:08 PM Here is the one the world-press has been waiting for:
David and Mario walking side by side: To Montreal: DE Gregory To Austria: 3rd (MON) and 7th (MON) round Hard to say who´s got the edge as Gregory complained about beeing a backup and leaves hours before the kickoff to the new season. Kreiner gets a very nice pick plus a chance for a sleeper..... Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Mario ADK on August 18, 2006, 07:08:55 AM A minor one:
To Raleigh: DB Henry To Austria: 7th rounder (LON) Mark Munro adds some depth to the DB-sqad while Mario Kreiner lifts his total of "low" round picks (rounds 5-8) from 4 up to 14.... And there is more to come.... Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Mark-skyhawks on August 18, 2006, 04:35:50 PM To R-D
I CB 24 Dixon, Gerald OK 4 84 79 79 77 77 79 76 77 To Paris I LB 75 Bjork, Carl-Johan OK 2 77 77 70 80 72 74 71 65 and a 7th round (next season) Two Backups swap teams and Paris pick up a late round pick Title: Re: Trades - Season 16 Post by: Mario ADK on August 19, 2006, 05:58:16 AM ADKs trade #18 this seaoson:
To Austria: 6th round (RAL) plus 6th round (LON) To Raleigh: OL Walter Tyson Walter is a young backup who could develop into a starter in a couple of season. ADK gets low round picks and now got 16 picks in the rounds 5-8 for next season... |
