Title: Champion DarkKnights cut 3 players Post by: Paul-London on April 28, 2006, 07:10:30 AM Just hours after their victory the DarkKnights announced they were going to cut 3 veterans...
QB Shedrick Bonner has played for London and Austria in his long career but leaves Austria with an FWL Bowl ring as the main backup to Curt Anes. Bonner played in the Week 14 clash against Scotland played well. He hopes to sign with another team but if not he may consider retiring. http://www.fwl.org.uk/alltime.htm#sbonner (Bonner nearly retired last year so i wrote up his career but he was then signed by Austria) OL Thomas Soeker was signed in the week to provide depth on the offensive line with all the DarkKnights injuries, he was originally a 5th round draft pick by San Antonio at the end of season 4 but was cut and signed by Austria for Season 5. Despite his one appearance this season Soeker is obviously delighted to have an FWL Bowl ring ! Finally FB/HB Marvin Powell was one of the best blocking FB's in the league ever at Frankfurt, he had many fine seasons and scored the winning touchdown in FWL Bowl XIII to beat the 2 time FWL Bowl champions Frankfurt in overtime. Powell was surprisingly cut by Frankfurt this year but signed with Austria late in the year as cover and despite not getting any touches in the game he won yet another FWL Bowl ring. Powell has now 3 FWL Bowl rings from the last 3 seasons ! Perhaps hes a lucky charm for any team out there ! All 3 players can be signed by anyone and i'll allocate all FA's later in the week before i run retirements, email me if you want any of these players but tell me which player to cut if you sign one Title: Re: Champion DarkKnights cut 3 players Post by: David-Montreal on April 28, 2006, 11:20:15 AM Seasons 8-14, Soeker was with Machine.

FWL Bowl rings with Montreal 3 times, played in another FWL Bowl for Montreal which this time was a loss, won an FWL Bowl ring with Austria. So 4 FWL Bowl rings, 5 FWL Bowl appearances ! |
