Title: Veteran FA's to be signed
Post by: Paul-London on July 17, 2006, 04:00:52 AM
A handful of FWL veterans who were cut last year remain on the FA scrapheap, a lot can really help some younger teams out there as there are some quality veteran players who have had great years in the FWL...

QB Shedrick Bonner

Can still be a quality backup or start for a season for some teams out there.  Very intelligent, great skills, 11th year but still better than some starters.

FB Mark Kacmarynski

Skills have gone down but still a quality special teams player

TE Nicky Savoie

Former starter for the NY Knights.  Had 26 catches in S14 and last year as a backup had 10 catches at a 19.7 average and scored 2 td's.

C Kevin Sargent, C Tim Rice, G Sergej Berejniouk, T Thomas Soeker

Some quality veteran offensive line players, Berejniouk has an FWL Bowl ring when he was a starter for Sacramento in FWL Bowl X and also has been to the playoffs with Amsterdam.  Soeker is another quality veteran with playoff experience.

LB Joe Tuipula, LB Lonnie Jones,

Two quality veteran linebackers.  Jones has several FWL Bowl rings from his time with Frankfurt, Tuipula had one of the best seasons ever for a LB in Season 11 with Barcelona as he had 88 tackles and 12 sacks.  Had 76 tackles and 3 sacks in S14 before being surprisingly cut before last year.  Stayed all year on the FA list but is hoping for another chance, great tackler.  Jones joined Frankfurt in Season 5 and played 9 seasons for the Galaxy before being cut and spending S14 on the FA list and also last year.  During his 9 seasons in Frankfurt he went to the playoffs 8 times, played in 3 FWL Bowls and won 2.  During their FWL Bowl winning year of S13 he had 62 tackles and 1 sack, in FWL Bowl 13 he had 5 tackles which was his last action in the FWL.

CB Anthony Marlbrough

Excellent tackler in his years with the NY Knights, averaged over 80 tackles for 8 straight years.  Was surprisingly cut and only saw minimal action with London last year.  Has been named All-FWL 4 times in seasons 7, 10, 12 and 14.  After his All-FWL year in S14 he was cut by NY which was a major surprise.  Can still be a quality backup.
