Title: Daft raises questions in London Post by: Paul-London on July 22, 2006, 06:06:30 PM Today the London Monarchs traded for Claymores former backup QB Kevin Daft. London were rumoured to be looking at several QB's around the league including the Skyhawks Travis Brown who they have been after previously.
However Dafts great intelligence and skills intrigue the London GM who said he might even consider starting him this year. Youngster BJ Symons was impressive late in the year and it looked like he would get the job after Todd Bouman retired. Veteran FA Shedrick Bonner was signed as a FA but now with Dafts arrival Bonner might be set free. Daft is the most intelligent QB in the league and probably ever in the FWL so why has this 10 year veteran only thrown 10 passes in his previous 9 seasons ? "Wrong place wrong time" says Daft who has sat behind and been the backup for many great QB's in the league. Daft has excellent skills and it would be no surprise if he started for London for a season or two until BJ Symons is 100% ready to take over the starting role. With a great pocket prescence and intelligence Daft may surprise many of us. No QB with 99 INT has ever played in the FWL previously so it will be interesting to see what Daft does.
