LONDON IN MAJOR TRADE WITH THE ADMIRALS

After a heavy session of trade talking the Monarchs and Admirals finally settled on a large trade.  LB Richard Adeji a promising young LB who had 32 tackles last year moves to the Admirals with a 3rd round pick this year and one next year

In return the Monarchs bulk up their roster with 3 quality players.  TE Ryan Prince is a great veteran who was named All-FWL in Season 14 after 41 catches and nearly 600 yards but was surprisingly benched last year and had just 10 catches. Prince will become the starter in London ahead of Jeff Nicholson.  Nicholson on paper doesnt look a quality TE but the young TE had 62 catches and 903 yards in S14 (ironically starting ahead of Prince in the All-FWL game) but the Monarchs want a speedier stronger TE to help improve the offense.

Also the Monarchs pick up CB Devon Harper an excellent CB who will start immediately.  Originally drafted by GM Johns whilst he was at Sacramento Harper had 57 tackles a year ago and last season had 69 tackles and 2 ints on the great Admirals defense.  Harper will start immediately at CB1.

The last player acquired was LB Derrick Ford.  Ford had received no playing time yet in the FWL but already is pencilled in as LB3 for London.

OTHER ROSTER MOVES

The team announced 2nd year LB John Leake may be the LB2 for the team.  If Leake has a good training camp and increases his speed the very strong Leake should start in the middle.

FREE AGENT SIGNINGS

The team signed a few FA's last week.  Former Fire DT Sandi Solakovic arrives as a backup and will fight to make the team and former Dragons LB Joe Tuipula gives the team some veteran depth.  Former CB Anthony Marlbrough also comes back and hopes to stay on the roster.

SYMONS LEAVING ?

The trade buzz at the moment involves QB BJ Symons.  Symons who impressed greatly in two late season starts last year wants to be a starter and could start on many teams out there.  Already one team are in talks with Symons but the price will obviously be high as young Symons is a top young prospect who could start for 8+ seasons.

LONDON MOVE UP TO TOP SLOT

In a major trade with Orlando reported elsewhere the Monarchs sent two players and swapped first round picks with Orlando to get the player they covet.  The Monarchs are unhappy to lose DT Dequincy Scott who was very good last year with 8 sacks and Moore gave the team a great young backup OL but London are after one player in particular and they didnt want to take a chance that someone else may draft him.

WHO WILL THEY TAKE ?

Rumours are flying !  DE Earl Cochran is the top ranked DE on the board and would start immediately, defense is probably more of a need for London.  However there are some good young WR's so perhaps a WR ?  With talk of Symons leaving will the Monarchs take QB Drew Henson but they just traded for Kevin Daft to be potentially the starter ?

We will find out Sunday night 6pm GMT

i bet it is henson

he is a "must have" in a mediocre draft-crop. i would not rate Cochran among the top 5 and those WRs could go early. but even with daft Henson is my tip to become #1: Daft is a 10 seoason veteran an London need a future prospect.....

Must admit i would love to know how Daft would do though, never seen a QB start with 99 INT before !  Yes his times passed him by as hes a 10 year vet but they said the same about Rich Gannon when he went to Oakland.

Daft may see some gametime this year !

Well i thought i made it a bit obvious trying to trade Symons so much.  I love Jamal Robertson at RB so he'll be my starter for many years

Glad i got the kicker i wanted, was panicking that he might have been taken early in the 3rd !
