RYLANCE BENCHED

After scoring just 6 points against the Aztecs this week long time starting QB Heath Rylance has been benched and it sounds like it might be for good.  Amsterdam are 6-2 and are looking good but its a bold move to bench Rylance after his impressive W/L record this year.  Hamilton offers the Admirals better mobility but with Rylance the Admirals were 3rd in passing so the decision is a surprise.

CHANGES IN AUSTRIA ?

After the shocking loss to Paris there may be big changes from GM Mario Kreiner.  Kreiner was on cloud 9 after the great win over Scotland but this week his team played their worst game of the season to lose to lowly Paris in a huge upset.

JENSEN OUT IN NY ?

Kicker Mark Jensen was having a great year, he was 12a, 10c on FG's but after having a nightmare 5a, 2c this week his job may be in danger as the NY GM has already contacted several teams about a new kicker.  Jensen is a great kicker but did have a nightmare week.

ALLEN TO CONTINUE AS STARTER ?

Rookie QB Jared Allen was a surprise starter this week at Rhein, he didnt do much in his first start as the team made just 12 first downs and he threw for just 147 yards, Allen should improve but needs help from the poor rushing attack, despite 92 yards by Travis McKenzie 71 of them came on one play.

NO REASON TO PANIC IN RALEIGH

Yes the teams lost 4 straight after a 4-0 start but many around the league feel Raleigh have a quality roster but have been unlucky in some tough games the last few weeks.   Raleigh have lost to Frankfurt, Amsterdam, New York and Mexico but all 4 teams are playing very well in recent weeks and are some of the top teams in the league.  In 3 of the 4 losses they have lost by just 6 points or less.

HENSON IMPRESSES IN LONDON

The Monarchs may be on for another losing season this year and missing the playoffs but its been a good year for overall #1 pick Drew Henson.  Henson has played very well this year, has picked up some minor injuries but has thrown for over 300 yards in several games and has impressed despite the lack of a decent rushing attack.

GALAXY IMPROVING WEEK BY WEEK

Frankfurt started this season off slowly, they kept on winning but not too convincly, however their defense has really played well and out of hte top 6 sackers in the league this year, 3 are from Frankfurts d-line.   They are also 2nd in the league in the fewest sacks for their OL and the choice to start Jonas Lewis at HB1 and Skip Hicks at FB1 has kick started the offense.  The team lack a big name WR still Andrew Boone has played very well this year and Marcus Knight has turned into a good possession WR.
