Title: Trivial Pursuit Post by: jcompton-Orlando on November 26, 2006, 12:25:26 PM So I was playing a round of Trivial Pursuit with family this weekend and joked a few times on the Sports categories that it would be really nice to get a World League question.
Sure enough, I did. "What football league calls its championship game the World Bowl, despite fielding only six teams in 2000?" Title: Re: Trivial Pursuit Post by: Paul-London on November 27, 2006, 05:11:08 AM CFL ?
Title: Re: Trivial Pursuit Post by: Niki on November 27, 2006, 05:14:17 AM NFL Europe (now known as NLF Europa)
CFL = Grey cup = 9 teams (in 2006) Title: Re: Trivial Pursuit Post by: Paul-London on November 27, 2006, 05:19:22 AM I was joking Niki ;)
Title: Re: Trivial Pursuit Post by: Niki on November 27, 2006, 05:21:05 AM I was joking Niki ;) I was almost in shock by your answer :o well let's blame it on the fact it is still monday Title: Re: Trivial Pursuit Post by: jcompton-Orlando on November 27, 2006, 11:21:49 AM CFL = Grey cup = 9 teams (in 2006) 8, actually, Ottawa shut down this year. :) Title: Re: Trivial Pursuit Post by: velcro on November 28, 2006, 03:27:33 AM The Trivial Pursuit question was for 2000, which was for 8 teams as Ottawa didn't start play until 2002. They were suspended this season due to "financial irregularities" of their owner.
There are a lot of FWL players (and ex-NFL Europe players) plying their trade in the CFL, nw they just need an NFL Europa player :-). If you ever get a chance go see a CFL game its a lot of fun, huge field, huge end zones and only 3 downs.... Go Argos.. Ross |
