Title: van Dyke wants a chance Post by: Paul-London on December 19, 2006, 11:28:56 AM One of the best kept secrets in the FWL is San Antonio Riders backup QB Ryan van Dyke. Dyke has been a backup his whole FWL career with the Riders and has hardly seen any action. Many people around the league think van Dyke could be a quality starter if he was given the chance.
Riders GM Jason Hink is very loyal to his players and his starter is no doubt Michael Bishop, Bishop has had an incredible 7 consecutive 100+ rating seasons in a row and has also led the Riders to the playoffs and led his team to FWL Bowl XV. He has been named All-FWL 4 times and was unlucky not to make it 5 consecutive times last year. However Ryan van Dyke would love that chance, many of his skills are higher than Bishops but Bishops brilliant intelligence (one of the most intelligent QB's in the game) and experience gives him the edge. However several scouts are looking at van Dyke because of his 77 SP, 91 ST and 92 INT. With several teams out there with question marks at QB van Dyke may get his wish and start elsewhere |
