Title: Orlando cut veteran K John Anderson Post by: Paul-London on February 05, 2010, 11:58:17 AM Anderson who had a great career with Austria, was recently cut by Orlando as they went with their backup K, young James Wilhoit.
Anderson had an off year last year ranking just 12th and hitting 21 of 31 FG's. His best year came in Season 16 when he was the top rated kicker hitting 82% of his FG's (32 of 39) Anderson leaves Orlando ranked 11th all time in FG's with 72% and 11th all time in scoring with 898 points. He was the leading points scorer amongst kickers twice in Seasons 14 and 16 and went to the playoffs several times with the DarkKnights. He will be enshrined in the DarkKnights Hall of Fame as he won FWL Bowl XV with a 30 yard FG in overtime. "I hope another team gives me a look" said Anderson but in his 10th year Anderson might struggle to find a team |
