Title: Candidate for the most Bizarre Play
Post by: Paris on March 16, 2010, 09:48:01 PM
Candidate for the most Bizarre Play in league history:

Week 6, Orlando @ Paris:

Candidate for the most Bizarre Play in the history of the league:

Paris's QB1 #16 Ryan Dinwiddie gives to FB1 #24 Thunder Collins. Collins
fumbles the ball. The ball is recovered by C1 #58 Jimond Pugh. Pugh runs
for a gain of just over 13 yards. Touchdown, Paris! That was Run middle
(198) against Orlando's Pass medium (202).

Center 1? 9 year vet? 66 DI? Go figure!

Guess the boys are having fun! Reminds me of the movie 'The Replacements' with Keanu Reaves!

I think we've seen some weirder deliberate playcalls. This one falls more under the category of "thrilling (for the offense)/embarrassing (for the defense)."

Although, sure, it's fun to think of it as a fumblerooski.

Another solid candidate...

Code:
Orlando's ball on New York's 2 yard line. First and goal. 12:02 left in the
fourth quarter. The score is New York 17, Orlando 20.

Orlando's QB1 #4 Kliff Kingsbury gives to HB1 #22 Dee Brown. Brown runs for
a gain of almost 2 yards. Brown is tackled by New York's DT2 #67 Omari
Hand. The PAT failed. That was Run middle (4) against Goal line run (10).

What on earth is the point of going for two, up 20-17 in the fourth quarter? A regular PAT means NY/NJ cannot tie on a FG. The five-point cushion seems meaningless.

Believe me i've seen a fair few of those, thank god you didnt lose !  I've lost in Davids league on some crazy plays where the computer decides to go for 2 for no reason and then later i've lost because of that failed XP.

The software normally does a decent job but when it comes to extra points/2 pointers it sometimes goes crazy
