Title: Next great LB
Post by: Paul-London on May 16, 2007, 04:16:31 AM
The title might be deceiving as Sacramentos LB Mark Brown is already one of the great LB's in the game but in 5 years time Brown might be considered one of the best all time.

His career stats...

S11  77t  5.0   1f   2 ints  (3rd on team in tackles) *
S12  82t  5.0   1f   1 int   (led team in tackles) *
S13  92t  2.0   1f    0 ints  (3rd on team in tackles)
S14  93t  1.0   1f    1 int   (led team in tackles) *
S15  61t  0.0   0f    0 int  (4th on team in tackles)
S16  99t  5.0   0f    0 int  (2nd on team in tackles) *
S17  57t  7.0   0f    1 int (2nd on team in tackles) *** - After Week 11

With 561 tackles in 7 years he ranks just outside the Top 50 of all time but if he gets 29 tackles in the last 5 games he'll crack the top 50.

At the rate he is playing he has a great chance to beat Kinnon Tatums record.  A 1st round pick by the FWL Bowl champions Sacramento Surge in Season 11, Brown started instantly at LB1 ahead of famous LB's such as Kinnon Tatum, Tim Scharf, Willie Walker and Jake Dahl.  Brown has already been named All-FWL 4 times in his 6 year career and could make it again this season as he is having a career year for sacks.

GM TC Finney has said publically Brown is not for trade as hes one of the best currently in the league.  Browns only 'poor' season was Season 15 where he missed two games from injury and didnt seem the same after coming back.  He finished with 0 sacks for the first time in his career but bounced back the next year with 99 tackles , a career best.

With 4 fumbles, 5 ints and 25 sacks already , Brown is a great all round player and is destined to be one of the best when he retires if he can keep this form up
