Title: One of the weirdest stats ever..... Post by: Mario ADK on May 23, 2007, 11:55:39 AM Austria currently has only intercepted their oppontents 5 times in 11 Games.....
3 of those 5 interceptions where made by Defensive End Greg White!!! How crazy is this????? Title: Re: One of the weirdest stats ever..... Post by: Paul-London on May 23, 2007, 12:32:25 PM Despite a quiet year sacking the QB it shows hes contributing in other ways ! In the highlights you cant see it too well but DT Lauvale Sape charges at Henson hitting him just as he throws the pass so it 'wobbles' up in the air and White who was getting blocked by HB Hall moves in for the easy pick. If it wasnt for T Wike who made the tackle, White had an easy run to the endzone

Title: Re: One of the weirdest stats ever..... Post by: Andrew-Neutral on May 25, 2007, 09:16:10 AM That has to be a record amount of INT'd by a D-Linemen in a season I shall consult the database!Title: Re: One of the weirdest stats ever..... Post by: Andrew-Neutral on May 25, 2007, 09:27:10 AM According to my database, there have been many DE or DT with one interception in a season, but only Greg White has ever had more than one.
Career wise, only a select bunch have ever had more than one interception from the D-line; Greg White (3) Albert Hargain (2) Steve Emtman (2) Jerome Davis (2) Chad Thorson (2) Henry Slay (2) Al Wright (2) Title: Re: One of the weirdest stats ever..... Post by: Mark-skyhawks on May 25, 2007, 11:14:07 AM Just thought I would let you know again that that Data base is reall really good I didn't know you could get Individual Players tackles against a team over his career
Title: Re: One of the weirdest stats ever..... Post by: Paul-London on May 25, 2007, 11:36:57 AM Yeah theres some great stats to see. I mean you can see a players stats every week of a season, see a ton of great career stats and records. Its excellent !
Title: Re: One of the weirdest stats ever..... Post by: Andrew-Neutral on May 25, 2007, 11:42:56 AM Well, thanks to Paul, who saved the game files after every week of games, every single stat should be in the database. There are few things that FBPro doesn't log like fumbles that result in turnovers, rather than that are recovered by your guy. Also, the stats we use only have field goal hits and misses and doesn't record the length of the kick. Still, there's so much stuff in the database, I often don't know what to present next.
How about a summary of every rushing attempt in the history of the league? http://www.battyeweb.org.uk/fwl/teamlogsummary.php (http://www.battyeweb.org.uk/fwl/teamlogsummary.php) All-time team records are almost ready (eg most rushing yards in a game, most points scored in a quarter, most first downs in a game, fewest sacks in a season). As Paul will know, I'm working on a "game-replay" at the moment, where play-by-play logs will be used to generate a scoreboard which updates as the play-by-play is read. If anyone can think of any exciting stats / records, please let me know and I'll try to add them! Title: Re: One of the weirdest stats ever..... Post by: Paul-London on May 25, 2007, 12:22:14 PM Yep the game replay looks very exciting. What Andrew is doing is taking the log file then creating an NFL scoreboard type display and then it'll run it one play at a time and show the play and update the scoreboard, possession, yardage marker etc. Should be very good !
I'm surprised I managed to keep most of the records, i thought a lot were missing but i think we managed to patch it altogether. Sad i know but i do like seeing past games with great players in them. I'm still devastated i allowed people (including me !) to savage Austria back then. I really believed the GM (DB) was trying to make the team his own but then after two seasons he buggered off ! Title: Re: One of the weirdest stats ever..... Post by: Mario ADK on May 25, 2007, 04:06:51 PM Andrews stat-thing is so incredible - i think it should be announced in one of those fantasy-award-things....
Regarding White: Well at least i am winning anything this season :-) regardings paul post: i am still dreaming of once again reading the play-play of my EFC-champ-win against Fire when Ernie Short caught that interception in the final minute of the game.... The most exciting moment in my FWL-history. even better than my 2 Bowls..... @ Andrew: btw: this interception is shown in the game-file (season 3 week 16) BUT not at Ernies indiv-stats..... As I develop the game-replay scoreboard, I shall make sure that game is one of the first to be made available!Regarding White: Well at least i am winning anything this season :-) regardings paul post: i am still dreaming of once again reading the play-play of my EFC-champ-win against Fire when Ernie Short caught that interception in the final minute of the game.... Quote @ Andrew: Aha - the career stats are currently for regular season only - when developing the database, I always test things with Paris players, so it is easy to forget to include post-season games!btw: this interception is shown in the game-file (season 3 week 16) BUT not at Ernies indiv-stats..... I'll make sure they go in soon. Andrew Title: Re: One of the weirdest stats ever..... Post by: Andrew-Neutral on May 30, 2007, 06:40:06 AM I'm also re-writing much of the PHP code to try to use Object Orientated techniques which should make the site easier to modify and expand. So, if anyone spots any errors please let me know and I'll try to correct them whilst rewriting the code. Also, if there are any features that are not included and you think they should be, let me know.

I'll make sure they go in soon. Andrew Be careful though as in any league career stats include regular season games only. If you go to nfl.com and search for a player you wont see his playoff stats in his year by year ones. We dont want that in the records at all. We have career playoff records which shows most passing td's, tackles, receptions etc in the playoffs and also another for the FWL Bowl but when you click on career stats for Ernie Short it shouldnt combine his regular season with playoff stats. Seperate is fine but not combined. Title: Re: One of the weirdest stats ever..... Post by: Andrew-Neutral on May 30, 2007, 08:25:42 AM Yeah, I shall make sure all the records refer to regular season only. I'll modify the individual player profiles to include post-season games, like this;

Stunned how bad Bobby Phillips Season 2 postseason was, the Galaxy won the FWL Bowl but he had 3 very bad games in a row Looking at his career playoff games - 16 games - only 2 games over 80 yards, 1 100 yard game. Very surprised |
