Title: Frankfurt Galaxy cut veteran WR Post by: Marco_Frankfurt on May 24, 2007, 03:59:24 AM The Frankfurt Galaxy announced that former FA pick up and starting WR Latef Frim was cut today.
Frim was acquired in week 4 after regular starting WR Aaron Boone injured his leg (also the first loss of Frankfurt this season). He immediately started as WR and PR and had some great games, earning him even the promotion to WR1 for one game (but his best remained his first game with the Galaxy). Unfortunately at the same time Frankfurt continued to loose and as the Coaches had to make changes to revive the passing game, Frim found himself back on the bench. His time was finally come this week as Boone reported back from the injury list to regain his starting position. GM Lambert noted: "We have to thank Frim who came into our team trying everything to help us and our team. Unfortunately we were 2-6 during his stay but we do not blame it on him in any way. We would have loved to keep him into the offseason, however asd we have now lost our two fastest CBs to severe injuries we need regain some depth in that area and we are right now in talks to sign a replacement. Once more we wish all the best for Frim and his future career, he certainly deserves to play in this league." While Latef Frim never really had a breakthru as PR he played very well as a starting WR: week 4 Frim 7 72 10.3 17 0 week 5 Frim 6 56 9.3 20 0 week 6 Frim 4 57 14.3 18 0 week 7 Frim 3 46 15.3 28 0 week 8 Frim 2 20 10.0 11 0 Career Statistics (thanks to Andrew :-) Teams London Raleigh-Durham Frankfurt Receiving 208 receptions for 2445 yards (11.8 average), Longest 63, 10 TDs Punt Returns 59 returns for 442 yards (7.5 average), Longest 45, 0 TDs Kick-Off Returns 88 returns for 1732 yards (19.7 average), Longest 54, 0 TDs Defense 9 tackles, 0 sacks |
