Title: Quick 5 minute preview !
Post by: Paul-London on October 25, 2007, 07:12:11 AM
With the season about to start lets have a look at each team with our 5 minute one sentence per team preview !

AFC East

Ohio - Bold move to trade Josiah who had 20 sacks last year to Paris, Pawlawski needs to stay healthy to keep his job, Payton should do well again.
New York - Veterans Jim Turner and Phil Stambaugh played well last year as the offense ranked 3rd, the defense slipped to 17th and has to improve.
Birmingham - Nice team with the 10th ranked offense, 4th ranked defense, need to improve still to make the playoffs.
Orlando - Its Kliff Kingsbury time in Orlando, still a lot of work to do with that team including who will start at RB ?

AFC West

Montreal - The 'Patriots' of the FWL, just keep getting better and better but surely age will be creeping up with them soon ?
Mexico - Top offense last year, 7th best defense, could win the AFC West and even AFC this year ?
Raleigh-Durham - Alexander needs a good year again but the problem is on defense which has to improve for Raleigh to have any hope of the playoffs.
San Antonio - Michael Bishop was decidedly average last year, has to rebound.
Sacramento - Rob Adamson is an exciting QB, needs help from his rushing game though and the rushing defense was the worst last year in the league.

EFC East

Amsterdam - So close to winning the FWL Bowl but Joe Hamilton played very poorly.  Could be back in the final again.
Berlin - Despite going 4-1 over the last 5 games it looks like Nate Hybl might be benched for their new top pick - Jeff Otis.
Frankfurt - Missed the playoffs for only the second time ever.  Still need a big name WR and their rush defense to improve.
Rhein - Have a lot of young stars but need a bit of luck also, have to improve the offensive line as Hollings needs holes.

EFC West

London - Surprised everyone last year, have talent but age is creeping up on defense.  Not great depth.
Austria - As always Austria should be in with a shout, 5th ranked offense, 2nd best defense, should be in the playoffs easily.
Scotland - Surprised many people last year, Mike Malan is probably the slowest RB ever but he grinds out the yards, can he do it again ?
Barcelona - A new GM arrives for the Dragons, trading for Tony Romo was a great move.  Still have to sort out the rushing attack.
Paris - Andrew Battye is back and takes over a winless Paris team.  Has a good QB in Dinwiddie and talent on defense but needs them to play far better.
