Title: Week 3 Preview
Post by: Paul-London on November 05, 2007, 04:06:02 AM
Scotland at Ohio

Crucial game for both teams.  Scotland have played well but are 0-2 and now face a tough Ohio side who play in their home opener.  Ohio lost a heartbreaker to Sacramento last week but after 2 away games to start the season the Glory will be at home for this one.  Scotland changed RB's last week against London and despite a good game by Sandino Octobre the Claymores fell short to London.  Ohio get the win because of homefield.

Orlando at Montreal

Orlando must be nervous !  Montreal are 0-2 and angry !  Their fans demand a win and the FWL Bowl champs must get off to a winning start this weekend if they want to do anything this year.  Orlando are playing much better this year but it'll be a tall order to win this game.

Raleigh-Durham at Mexico

Crucial win last week for Mexico who couldnt fall to 0-2 but now they face a tough Skyhawks team who could easily be 2-0.  Skyhawks HB Curtis Alexander has played very well so far this year but will have his work cut out against a tough Mexico defense even without LB Keith O'Neil who is lost for 7 weeks.

New York at Sacramento

The Surge have been a great surprise this year, K Jimmy Kibble who replaced Surge legend David Akers has been sensational with two late late game winning FG's as Sacramento are now 2-0.  New York rebounded this week with a good win thanks to QB Jason Campbell who played well but away to the Surge will be another tough game.

Birmingham at San Antonio

Early glimpse of the AFC Game ?  Way too early to say but both teams are 2-0 and playing well.  San Antonios decision to start QB Clint Stoerner has been one of the best moves of the year, Stoerner has been incredible.  Birmingham are a tough team and are looking good early on but the Riders get the nod as they are at home.

Barcelona at Amsterdam

The Dragons look better this year but with HB Jamal Robertson hurt for this game they may struggle.  Amsterdam may switch QB's if they lose this game but at home agains ta weaker Dragons team the Admirals will be very confident.

Berlin at Rhein

Berlin have been superb this year and could move to 3-0 if they can get past a tricky Rhein side.  Rhein have a lot of good young talent on offense but are probably a year away from really doing something.  QB David Greene will probably miss this game so its Jared Allens opportunity to get his job back.  Berlin could be the surprise package of the year, QB Jeff Rowe has looked very good so far and HB Avon Cobourne has been very consistent.

Frankfurt at London

Huge game in the EFC.  Frankfurt looked far better this week after a poor game in Week 1.  London won a tight game over Scotland and were happy that HB Joe Hall had the best game of his career.  QB Drew Henson was injured and missed most of the game but did return late to appear against Scotland.  Should be a tough game but London at home get the nod.

Paris at Austria

Big game for both teams as the loser slips to 1-2 in the division.  Paris have been very entertaining this year and look good on offense with Dinwiddie at QB and Collins at HB and have playmakers finally on defense.  Could be tough for Austria who have to start their backup QB, former DarkKnights QB Ryan Dinwiddie will want to beat his old team for the first time.  Paris could get a surprise win here but it'll be close.
