Title: LeSuer wants to be the best
Post by: Paul-London on December 03, 2007, 04:44:16 AM
Its stood for many years.  Since CB Jason Wallace retired after the 2005 season, the all time interception leader hasnt had to worry too much about his records.  8 seasons later his all time interception record of 16 looks like it will last for many more years.  CB Ernie Short came close but retired after 15 interceptions however there is a young kid on the block who may smash the record.

Monarchs CB Jeremy LeSuer intercepted another pass on sunday, his 10th of his career and LeSuer is only halfway through his 4th season.  His 10 interceptions put him just 6 behind Wallace and 7 for the all time lead.  LeSuer was a 1st round pick of Rhein but since coming to London he has been an interception machine.  London have a tendency to start quality players for many many years as the careers of Ernie Short, Kinnon Tatum and Mark Word would show.  LeSuer will be starting for London for the next 8+ seasons so stands a great chance of beating this great record.
