Title: London walking wounded Post by: Paul-London on January 10, 2008, 04:12:47 AM Its been a bad year for injuries for London, FB Ben Miller who was having an All-FWL year was lost for the season, TE Jeff Nicholson had to sit for 7 games but just as Nicholson is back to full fitness WR Kassim Osgood, the Monarchs top WR was gone for the year with an injury.
If London win in the final week of the season they get the top seed but some pundits have announced London are running scared as they have moved several backups to start in Week 14. "We are not conceding defeat" said the Monarchs GM, "Just with the injuries we have had this year I want to start some other younger players so we wont get any serious injuries in this game before the playoffs. We want to win this game, dont get me wrong, it will be our hardest game of the season but theres no point leaving this game with a win or loss if we receive some major injuries" Offensively most of the starters will carry on starting but FB David Allen Jnr received is probable and might sit the game out. Defensively the team made many changes due to a poor performance last week against Paris with just 1 sack and allowing over 200 yards rushing. A new d-line and new LB's will be played this week as the team look to bounce back from the poor defensive showing. |
