Title: GM of the Year ? Post by: Paul-London on January 10, 2008, 05:51:19 AM Theres still a week of the regular season left to play and then the playoffs but lets have a look at some contenders for this years GM of the Year...
Michel Kremer - Birmingham - Has the best record in the league, top seed in the AFC, bold move to trade for QB Joe Hamilton has paid off big time. Great defense, has hung in there in a tough division the last few years. 6-8 last year , this year 11-2 and a week to play. Andrew Battye - Paris - Franchise had been dormant for a long time, since coming back Battye made some great trades for some great starters who have really helped turn the team around. They have the best record in franchise history with a week left to play and could make the playoffs for only the second time in franchise history. The best stat - Last year Paris were 0-14 ! This year 8-5 !!! One of the biggest turnarounds in league history ! Andreas Born - Berlin - Berlin were 7-7 last year but this season they have really improved moving to 9-4 and a playoff spot for the first time in 5 seasons . Rookie QB Jeff Rowe has been great and the team look set for a long stay at the top. Title: Re: GM of the Year ? Post by: Niki on January 12, 2008, 03:22:39 PM my line of order:
1) Michel: from no play off team to the team with the best record. In a season he had (as always) a lot of injured players 2) Andrew: hugh turn around as a team but he was not the GM of Paris but he did a great job 3) Andreas Born: great job but the two other GM had a much better improvement |
