Title: QB''s - Tale of the tape
Post by: Paul-London on January 20, 2008, 11:20:33 AM
JT O'Sullivan - Mexico

O'Sullivan played in a few games his rookie year due to injury and played well.  It was a shock then when he was on the bench for the whole of his second year and didnt throw a pass.  After that O'Sullivan won the job in camp and has been the starting QB for the Aztecs for the last 5 seasons averaging over 3000 yards passing a year.  He threw the lowest number or ints in his career as a starter with just 3 this year and threw 16 td's in leading Mexico to a 10-4 record and won a further two games impressively in the playoffs.

BJ Symons - Amsterdam

Symons touted as the QB of the future for London and Austria was originally drafted by the Monarchs as a 4th round pick.  He didnt play his rookie year but at the end of his second season he had two starts and played well.  So well that he was traded to Austria where he was looking to start.  He only lasted a year in Austria despite starting for most of the early weeks when starter Curt Anes was out injured.  Symons was traded again the following year, this time to Amsterdam.

He only threw 14 passes in his first year with Amsterdam in mop-up duty as starting QB Joe Hamilton took his team to the FWL Bowl.  Hamiltons meltdown in the FWL Bowl (he was knocked out and came back and clearly wasnt 100%) gave Admirals fans hope for Symons who came on and played well.  GM van der Berg thought the same and named Symons the starter this year  where he played well.  Symons only threw for over 300 yards twice and started the season 0-2 but has progressed well in recent weeks and played flawlessly in two playoff games to lead his team to FWL Bowl XVIII
