Title: London shed veterans
Post by: Paul-London on February 25, 2008, 06:04:27 AM
The Monarchs are known for keeping a lot of veterans, LB Kinnon Tatum, DE Mark Word and several offensive linemen.  But last week the Monarchs actually shed a lot of veterans and tried to get a fraction younger.

DT Nick Burley who was in his 8th year and had 11 sacks last year was traded to Orlando.  Also going to Orlando was WR Travis Anglin in his 8th season who has led London receivers in receptions the last 3 seasons.  Another defensive linemen went in DE Junior Ioane.  Ioane had 11 sacks also last year and the veteran who had played all 8 of his previous seasons in London moved to rivals Barcelona.

10 year pros TE Ryan Prince and WR Jim Turner retired in the offseason as did LB's Kinnon Tatum  (13 years) and Brian Rogers (10 years)

The retired and traded players account for 68 years of FWL experience !
