Title: Alexander gets another record but is injured
Post by: Paul-London on May 01, 2008, 04:45:48 AM
With two rushing touchdowns in the first half against Sacramento, Skyhawks HB Curtis Alexander beat the existing record of 110 rushing touchdowns by Bobby Phillips by scoring his 111th.  However it was bad news later for Alexander who was injured on a run and could miss up to two weeks.  Alexander is chasing the all time record for rushing and is currently just over 300 yards away from that record, it might have to wait later in the season though as Alexander might miss two games.  He wants to come back after sitting out a game this week and wants to play at P-1 but it'll be a big decision from GM J.Munro.

Alexander despite his age is having a great season and is 8th in the league with just over 500 yards and was on target for another 1000 yard season.  Backup Fred Russell may be the starter next week or former HB turned FB Jackie Battle might get the nod in a huge game for Raleigh
