The computer has decided its Ohio , both Berlin and Ohio have 10-4 records but havent played each other this year.

Unsure how the computer decided it, i'll leave it as it is for now but unless someone can provide some sort of evidence then i have to keep it the same.

We always give homefield advantage to the team with the best record in the final, just of course its difficult here !

Any ideas ?!?

Based on division and conference record it should be Berlin:

Div: Berlin 5-1 vs Ohio 4-2
Conf Berlin 8-3 vs Ohio 8-4

Powerranking: Berlin:
Berlin 74 vs Ohio 73

Coin toss: Ohio

I would say it should be Berlin

Yep must admit i would say Berlin as well.

Its a big thing as we've always had a 'home' team in the FWL Bowl so whoever is at home will have the advantage.

But i think Berlin should be the home team like you say, first time its come down to this as normally the team with the best record (or if tied), the one who wins the head to head gets homefield for the FWL Bowl but first time this has happened !

So yep i checked the div and conf records (both Berlin) and also the power ranking.  Close as anything but Berlin should be at home, sure right now Gary is still screaming for joy hes in the final so this is the least of his worries at the moment !

I suspect the computer is using the NFL progression and looking at "common games" which Ohio has a better record in. Both teams played MEX, BAR, LON, SA, and SAC. Ohio was 5-0 (!) against them, Berlin was 3-2. But I think we've rarely if ever used the Common Games rule in the FWL.

Sorry to destry too much confidence in the old programm.

The solution is simply that the AFC allways hosts the BOWL. It was a bug in the software. There are no neutral sites, so they wanted to change it every season. If you play the NFL season in the FBPro game it works once (so after a NFC home Bowl comes a AFC home Bowl) after that it will allways be played with the same conference having home field advantage.

Thats one of the reason for the utility that allows changing playoff sites Wink

I remember that we had that problems many times. I had to play my 1st bowl in Mexico despite better record and later Paul had to change it often too.
