1) DT Lano (mexico) injuried for 20 weeks! I think it is the biggest injury I ever haven seen in the FWL
2) New Sacremento RB star Askew only 17 for 30 yds no td!
3) Interception of Anes and no TD!
4) Austria and Amsterdam both started slow, both started to play after the first quarter, Austrai won after beging 7-0 behind with 29-7 and had 39:29 ball position, amsterdam won with 20-10 after being 0-10 behind, controlled the ball 35:30
5) amsterdam conv 11 of 18 3rd downs (number one) and amsterdam defence allowed Barca only to conv 3 of 12 3rd downs.
6) London QB Lytle passes the same number of Td's as he did last year during the whole season
7) Amsterdam did not fumble the ball and won the game, the last time that happend was in season 12!
Cool Frankfurt rush defence is ranked 17, with an avg of 6.5!
9) HB Heurta (amsterdam) had his 3rd career start, it was the first time he ended the game without an injury

Oh well only 13 weeks to go befoe the play off starts, but it looks like it will be a good season with o lot of surprises

Great bit of trivia as Mario told me...

Anes last year NO interceptions, this year with his first pass of the game its intercepted !!!

Its nice to see a few surprises though, would be boring if it was the same year after year.  Rhein did look very good though

I think there was a first-season injury to an Austrian player that was longer. Mario turned it into a "player suspension" plot.

Frightening, isn't it?

More facts:

<) Andersons (AUS) 5 FGs where the most since Montreals Jose Cortez (MON, 6) in season #9(!). Anderson completed just 60% of his kicks last season....

<) RALs 30 1st downs was just ONE short of getting to the FWLs all-time mark of 31 (MEX vs RHE in season#10)

<) AUS might have broken the "low percentage of scoring a TD from the red-zone" as well: 5 attempts, just one TD (17%). Horrible..... Austrias drives stopped at: 17/5/9/3.....

<) And here is the "BANG": Austrias win-margin of 22 was the most since defeating Scotland by 28 in season #6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You really can tell that was a hell of a comback from the dead!

Raliegh/Durham always has a great offense, but the reason Mexico won that game was because their defense was able to stuff the run when they had to.  The Aztecs still have a shaky secondary, but should be better against the rush this year.
