Monarchs looking to backups

With their season over for the last few weeks the Monarchs will make changes in the final few games of the season. QB Todd Bouman a favourite of GM Paul Johns will start Week 12 as Bouman has a string of 3000 yard seasons still going and Johns wants to help get him there. However in Weeks 13 and 14 young backup QB BJ Symons will start so the franchise can see if he can be their future QB.
DE Mark Word who has 10+ sacks in all of his seasons bar one is currently injured but Johns said he will start him in Week 14 even if he is still injured as Word needs just one sack to reach double digit sacks yet again.
Rookie LB John Leake had his first major action of this season and didnt disappoint with a great game. Veterans Martin Janson, Keith Miller and Israel Byrd may be benched in the final few games so that youngsters can start.
WR LC Stevens returned to the starting WR2 role but didnt have much impact and will be replaced in the final few weeks.
The d-line has been very explosive this season and the Monarchs may look to trade a player as they have a lot of depth.
In the secondary S Earl Riley is still looking for that vital interception, the Monarchs only have one interception all year and its looking unlikely that Riley will get an int. Riley has 7 straight seasons of at least one interception but that record may end very soon.
HB Jamal Robertson will continue to start, Robertson has got better each week for the Monarchs and is looking for a strong finish to this season. Despite a win against Barcelona it looks like the Monarchs will have a top 5 pick in next seasons draft. Currently London do not know this years draft crop but their choice will depend on how many youngsters do the next few weeks
