London Monarchs GM

The London Monarchs announced this week that young backup BJ Symons will start for the final 2 regular season games.  Todd Bouman was unavailable for comment regarding next season.

Bouman has just finished his 11th season in the FWL, he threw only 12 touchdowns which would be his career low in a season he started most of the games but 12 touchdowns in 12 games isnt a bad number for the old veteran.  Boumans ranking is over 100 for the first time in 5 seasons and he currently stands 8th in the FWL with a great 100.6 rating.

Bouman has an impressive 8 consecutive 3000+ yards passing seasons which is an unoffical record.  He took his former team Sacramento to the playoffs 5 times and won FWL Bowl X and was named MVP after throwing 4 touchdowns.  He is a legend in Sacramento but was taken over to London when GM Paul Johns moved there and took 6 veterans with him.

Despite Londons 4-8 record Bouman has played well for the Monarchs and there is a chance he may return next year.  Bouman ranks 8th all time with 118 touchdown passes and nearly 28,000 yards passing.  He has been named All-FWL 3 times in Season 8,9 and 10.

with him maybe gone, all the possible Berlin veteran retirements and maybe Joe Aska retiring also, we could fill easily
two years worth of Hall-of-Fame candidates after this season

I think the last few drafts we've had too much talent but there still seems to be a lack of big name QB's, a lot of vets have still done well

I mean looking at http://www.fwl.org.uk/sseason.htm#I1 theres 5 QB's of 9 years or over in the top 10 QB's and a fair few in the list of 22.  Some good next generation QB's coming through (Anes, Rodgers, Davey) but some teams will have to make sure they have a good backup for the near future.

Obviously i'm a huge fan of Todd Bouman, seems like just yesterday i traded for him !
