Week 9 Preview

Just 6 weeks left of the regular season and things are hotting up for the playoff places...
New York at Orlando
The co-GM's of Orlando seem to have given up, the Thunder are 2-6 and need changes but they keep on putting out the same squad who obviously arent doing their job. New York had a great win against Amsterdam and need to keep winning to hold off the resurgent Birmingham Fire who have won 4 straight. Orlando are good at home and NY have played poorly on the road but the Knights need to win this one.

San Antonio at Birmingham
Big game for both teams, the Riders after their shock loss have to win this one against the Fire, they could have been 3 games ahead in the AFC West but lost to the Machine. Birmingham have won 4 straight and enter this game as favourites as they are playing so well at the moment, the Riders need to bounce back.

Raleigh-Durham at Sacramento
The Skyhawks have a great squad and on paper are a very good team but theyve lost 4 straight games after a 4-0 start but on the positive front they have played very well in those 4 losses many of which were very close. Sacramento have had a poor season, they lost their starting QB in Week 1 and although their are positives to their season they badly need a win here to bounce back in the tough AFC West
Raleigh by 7
Ohio at Mexico
The Glory were 3-1 but have now lost 4 straight games, theyve had injuries and have been close in many games but now they face a tough Aztecs team who have won 3 straight games and are breeming with confidence. Mexico are playing very well right now in all areas and should continue to win.
Mexico by 7
Berlin at Montreal
Montreal perhaps saved their season with a win against the Riders last week and will fancy their chances here against a weak Berlin team. Berlin look better with QB Nate Hybl starting but still have many holes all over and Montreal who are 4-0 at home will love this game.

Paris at Amsterdam
The Musketeers shocked the league last week with their win against Austria but now travel to Amsterdam to face an angry Admirals side who recently lost to Mexico. Amsterdam are 3-0 at home and will want a big win here to keep the pressure on Frankfurt
Amsterdam by 14
London at Rhein
London were very flat last week and disappointing against Scotland and will want to bounce back, they face a very weak Rhein team who started rookie QB Jared Allen last week. London will fancy their chances in this game but need to improve their rushing attack and rush defense.
London by 7
Austria at Barcelona
Despite the huge loss last week Barcelona are a very good team this year and are still 4-4 and in the playoff race. They will face an Austrian side who were so disappointing last week against Paris, Austria are 2-1-1 on the road and the Dragons will fancy their chances of a win here.
Austria by 3
Frankfurt at Scotland
Could be a huge tiebreaker in the playoffs. Frankfurt who were so great at home last week against the Dragons travel to Scotland which should be a great game. Frankfurt are undefeated on the road this year, Scotland undefeated at home. Both teams are playing so well at the moment and Scotland bounced back brilliantly after their close loss to Austria the week before.

Oh great. The Aztecs finally got on a winning streak, then Paul has to go and pick them to win.
