London Monarchs GM

New York at Birmingham

New York were just 2-5 on the road last year whilst Birmingham were 5-2 at home.  Both teams need to get off to a great start in the tough AFC East, the Fire being the home team will start off as favourites, the Fire narrowly missed out on the playoffs last year and know that they have to get through NY to stand any change.  New York are getting older and paid a high price for LB Fred Barr but he should have a huge year for the Knights, could be low scoring.

Ohio at Orlando

Another important AFC East clash, both teams havent been that active in the offseason, Orlando badly need a running back and could struggle if Dee Brown is the starter.  Ohio have a new GM but have been quiet trading, they have a lot of talent and are far better than last years terrible 4-10 record.  Orlando were winless on the road last year and will be happy this is a home opener !

San Antonio at Raleigh-Durham

Both teams need a quick start as the AFC West is the toughest division in football, Raleigh look stronger due to some good rookies and good trades but will miss TE Blizzard.  The Riders have been quiet on the trade front and didnt have a great draft, age could be catching up with Michael Bishop who needs a good start to this season.  Should be a great clash

Montreal at London

The Monarchs have made a few trades this offseason and will be hoping to get back to winning ways, they face a tough Montreal side who were the AFC Champs last year, if London could get a rushing game going then Henson could be even better at QB with Travis Anglin.  You can never count out Montreal as they have one of the top GM's in the league but have been slow starters the last few seasons.

Sacramento at Mexico

Interesting game, both teams need a fast start in the AFC West, Mexico started well last year but faded and lost their last 4 games to miss out on the playoffs.  They have a lot of talent and could surprise many this year.  Sacarmento will miss WR Anglin and theres no word yet on who will start at QB, the Surge do have some talent in other areas but still need some work.

Amsterdam at Scotland

Great EFC clash to open the season, both teams are excellent and in the top 3 in the EFC, as reigning champions Scotland didnt sit back this offseason and strengthened themeselves with TE Bobby Blizzard.  Amsterdam did well in the draft and have a very powerful team in all areas, this could be a possible EFC Championship clash.  Claymores get the edge because of homefield.

Rhein at Barcelona

Both teams would be very happy here with a 1-0 record after poor seasons last year, the Dragons hardly have any WR's and are a mess and new GM Josh Roberts will have his hands full.  Rhein still need a running back and are weak in several areas, who will start at QB is still a mystery.  Barcelona to get off to a fast start this season.

Frankfurt at Paris

The Musketeers have had a quiet offseason, their defense still needs a lot of work and their rushing game is dire, there is hope with the passing game but they have too many holes.  Frankfurt are rock solid in all areas and again will challenge for the playoffs, surely cant be a surprise here as Frankfurt are too strong.

Berlin at Austria

Austria had a great draft with many picks and also strengthened their side with DE Greg White who is one of the best in the league.  With Rasmussan and White at the other end Austria have the best 1-2 in the league.  Their secondary seems to be much weaker as it doesnt have so much depth, Berlin on the other hand need a lot of work, they have no one at HB and theres question marks at QB.  With Austria at home this could get ugly
