AFC

AFC East

Ohio - Should be better than their 4-3 record, offense playing very well, defense is great and is brilliant at getting to the QB, Pawlawski has to prove that hes back to his best as if he falters Ohio could be in trouble.  Great job by the new Ohio GM

New York - Father Time might be catching up with the Knights, offense and defense are mid ranked.  Still have talent but not the dominant force they once were, still in with a chance for the AFC East though.  Could be their last hurrah for stars such as Stambaugh/Brown/Turner.

Birmingham - Disappointing season so far, cant win on the road at all but a tough team to beat at home.  With their offense and defense in the top 10 they should be better than their 3-4 record suggests.

Orlando - 0-7 which is obviously the worst record there is.  However the offense is playing well, HB BJ Askew should come good eventually but has been poor so far, the defense needs a lot of work though and is the main reason for their 0-7 record.

AFC West

Montreal - Some people thought the Machine might struggle this year, specially after a poor opening season loss but theyve fought back, veteran QB Danny Wuerrfel has led several late comebacks, the Montreal defense as always is ranked low but this is very deceptive as its only because teams throw for a lot of late yards in defeats.  Excellent year so far for Montreal.

Mexico - Tough at home but havent played many games away, offense/defense playing great, Mexico have to get over their midseason slump though as they often start strong then fade.  Need a strong second half and have to play well in away games.

Raleigh-Durham - Still in with a chance in the tight AFC, played brilliantly last week but have been erractic most of the year.  Surprise trade for a backup QB considering Rodgers was the franchise.  Defense surprisingly strong, their passing attack has been poor this year but blame that on the WR's not the QB.

San Antonio - Much like Raleigh, the Riders are very erractic, one moment Michael Bishop is showing a lot of signs of age, the next week he lights it up for over 300 yards.  Needs more passing td's though as 5 in 7 games for the Riders is terrible.  Have to stop the slide, were 3-0 now 3-4 !

Sacramento - Rob Adamson after a nightmare first two weeks in the FWL where his line couldnt protect him is looking very good now, 2-5 record looks poor but a lot of young stars are doing well for the Surge and they should bounce back next year.  Adamson - Holliday looks a great partnership.

EFC

EFC East

Amsterdam - What can you say, theyre 7-0, their defense is playing brilliantly (2nd) , their offense great (1st) and at the midway point of the season they look the best team in the league by far.  The last few years theyve suffered close defeats in the playoffs, Amsterdam look determined this year to go all the way.  Have to get homefield advantage though.

Frankfurt - Who are the real Frankfurt Galaxy ?  At times Frankfurt look great but then they get thrashed by Amsterdam the next week.  Offense/defense are ranked high but just like most years, Frankfurt badly need a 90 catch 1300 yard big name WR as their no names arent doing much for QB Rohan Davey.

Berlin - Looking very good with their 3-4 record, must improved than last year.  Their offense/defense still have to get better but theyve been in a lot of close games and are far better than last year.  Do need a strong RB though as little Avon Cobourne isnt the man to get it done.  QB Nate Hybl seems to be full of confidence and has played well.

Rhein - There is potential with RB Tony Hollings but the Fire have to sort out their poor offensive line.  QB Jared Allen at times has looked good but with the OL opening up no holes for the rushing game its going to be a long year.  Offense/Defense all needs work, it may be a few years till Rhein are back in the playoffs.

EFC West

London - Huge surprise this year, London are an incredible 7-0 and playing great all round with their offense ranked 3rd and their defense 1st.  Have had an easier first half schedule than many teams though and have to carry on with their great form in the second half of the year where it gets much tougher.  Looks good for the future as they have a lot of young stars and the veterans have played well also.

Austria - Still in with a shout at 5-2.  QB Curt Anes has been throwing a ton of touchdown passes and leads the league easily.  The defense has played well but the front 4 are surprisingly weak, with White/Rasmussan at DE you would expect a lot of sacks but that hasnt happened.  HB Ken Simonton is rolling back the years and has played well but Austria dont seem the dominant force they were.

Scotland - Terrible year for the defending champs who lost just one game last year but this year are 3-4.  3 overtime defeats dont help though, the Claymores could really be 5-2.  QB Craig Nall hasnt played well with just 5 td passes but the whole offense and defense have slumped badly this year.  Scotland need a big name WR as their receivers seem very average and dont help Nall out at all.  Shocking the way the defense has slipped though, they have played better but its been a poor year.

Barcelona - Were 2-2 but have lost 3 straight games, changed over to QB Travis Brown last week who played well but the Dragons lost 29-0 !  Need to fight back, have talent on the team but have to play better all round.  Look for changes in the offseason as Barcelona try to bounce back in a tough division.

Paris - Winless and injuries have hit them hard.  Losing HB Robert Edwards really hurt the team, QB Ryan Dinwiddie is a star but they cant stop the run at all, teams dont even bother passing on them (they rank 1st against the pass) because its so easy to run on them.  Need a lot of new players on defense, in a huge slump at the moment
