London Monarchs GM

Kinnon Tatum, the only player in league history to have over 1000 career tackles and the all time leading tackler by over 100 with 1042 announced his retirement today.

Tatum ( http://www.fwl.org.uk/career.htm#T10) who has had an amazing career with 1042 tackles bowed out after a year in which he was mostly used as as backup.  Tatum played for 4 different teams (Austria, Frankfurt, Sacramento and London) and went to the playoffs with all 4.  Overall he went to the playoffs 10 times in his 14 year FWL career.

He was originally drafted by Austria in the first round and played two years there, his final game was as an FWL Bowl winner with Austria before being traded to Frankfurt.  With Frankfurt he went to the playoffs 4 straight years and played in another FWL Bowl, this time on the losing side.  He was traded to Sacramento where he carried on starting and went to the playoffs a further two times.  Named All-FWL 5 times the Surge transferred a lot of players to London where their GM moved to.

He carried on starting with the Monarchs and was part of their resurgence last year when they made the playoffs.  London made the playoffs again this year but Tatum was used mostly as a backup and finished with a career low 27 tackles.  Over his 14 year career he averaged 74 tackles a year !  He also made 64 sacks and had 14 consecutive years of at least 1 sack.  He also had 5 interceptions and recovered 11 fumbles in his career.

He started the Week 14 clash against Amsterdam and had a season high 6 tackles in the win for London and played very well.  His Week 7 sack of Paris QB Ryan Dinwiddie helped keep his 14 year streak going of having at least 1 sack.
