Without selecting a single rookie player the management of the Frankfurt Galaxy was able to improve its team a lot with its draft picks.
Normally most teams try to get some youth on draft day, selecting the right player is crucial for a teams future. The Galaxy and their GM Lambert took another way to rebuild a team, that has missed the playoffs now two seasons in a row.

With a couple of trades Frankfurt gave away their draft picks for the first 4 rounds (and another from next season) to acquire 4 new players that have good chances to take a starting role this season. Main piece on offense are the two new O-Liners Phil Hawkins (former San Antonio) and Will Ofenheusle (from Barcelona). GM Lambert gave the following comment:
"The last season our offense struggled mainly because we lost the battles in the trenches. With these two strong men we want to field a much larger staring line up and so stabilize our offense in all aspects."

The other two players came both also from San Antonio and fill the two main weak spots in Frankfurts defense: the pass defense with speedy CB Zach Norton and the run defense with the addition of the strong ILB BB Brooks. Both players are scheduled to start at their positions, giving the Galaxy maybe 4 new starters from this draft.

GM Lambert is very content with this result:
"Instead of one or maybe two starters we got 4 of them right away, helping us in the most important areas, where we needed improvement. The price we pay for this is the age of the players. They all have some years of experience. That is good for us now, but maybe in some seasons we will be short of young players. We will see. This trades were designed to make us competitive right now. The fans in Frankfurt deserve a strong team that is able to return into the playoffs. This is our goal for this season and these 4 players play a big part in this effort."
