A look at the last 4 QB's remaining in the playoffs...

Heath Rylance - Amsterdam

Not everyone remembers but as a rookie Heath Rylance led the San Antonio Riders to FWL Bowl VI.  Rylance hardly throws any interceptions (career high 5 in a season) but wont throw for 20 td's either.  Rylance however is the perfect QB for Amsterdams offense, he nearly lost his job a year ago to Joe Hamilton but rebounded to get his job back and had another great year this season.  The most successful QB in Amsterdams history he took the Admirals to FWL Bowl XII but is 0-2 in FWL Bowls.

Curt Anes - Austria

Anes was a backup in Mexico before Austrian GM Mario Kreiner returned to the league and gave up practically all his draft picks for Anes.  The results werent pretty, Anes was thrust into the limelight and had never previously thrown an FWL pass.  His first season with Austria was bad, 53% completion, 7 td's and 9 ints.  Kreiner even offered Anes to other teams but in the end kept with him and Anes had one of the most remarkable seasons ever and was Comeback Player of the Year with 17 td's and 0 ints !  In 3 seasons Anes has won 3 EFC West titles and this year despite a high number of interceptions (8) he had a career high in touchdown passes with 22 and was named All-FWL.  At times the Austrian offense has appeared conservative but lately Anes has been let loose and has done very well.

Michael Bishop - San Antonio

Previous to this season Michael Bishop was just 1-4 in the playoffs.  Can Bishop and the Riders get the monkey off their back and make it to an FWL Bowl ?  Bishop is one of the top passers in the league, he has been to the last 4 All-FWL Bowls and has 5 straight seasons of 100+ QB rating. He threw for a career high 3,943 yards but threw only 16 touchdowns.  Still Bishop was hot when it mattered most with some great late season wins and had one of his best ever wins against the 12-2 NY Knights in the Wildcard round.  A great veteran QB Bishop could finish his career as one of the top QB's of all time but he needs to get to an FWL Bowl.

Seth Burford - Birmingham

Burford has been an up and down QB with the Fire.  He won the starting job in Season 13 when David Ward had a terrible year and then started fully the next two seasons. However after 11 td's and 8 ints in Season 14 this year he threw 11 td's and 5 ints but over 3,700 yards.  Burford doesnt throw many touchdowns thanks to an impressive rushing game but does make the big plays when he needs to. However Burford was injured against Montreal and at P-1 for the AFC Championship game will he be fit and healthy to start ?  It looks like Burford will start but this will be just his second playoff game ever.  He was just 4-10 last year but doubled that total to an 8-6 record this year and the Fire could be one of the big surprises of the year

His rookie season was season4, he saw no action in that year, but it was his first year he had a starting job for San Antonio, nice detail is that QB  Pegenaute was in that year the back up QB
