GM Austria DarkKnights

« on: December 07, 2006, 04:59:29 AM »

I hereby officially support Runnie Monro in his attempt to become General Manager of the Year.....

It has been his constant belief and loyalty in his players that brought him where he stands now.....

GO, RONNIE, GO!!!!!!!

Regarding the All-FWL-honours..... just 5 ADKs is what we deserve. I am very proud of K John Andersons honour as he went thru bad times 2 seasons ago and really made it to the top.....

Smiley Thank you Mario and Niki .. your comments are much appreciated.

I thought the Bowl win would never happen.

It has taken so long , so many years. Great to have won the Bowl at last.

Although building defense has long been the Claymores objective I do feel Davids Montreal were unlucky.
We scored two defensive TD's, without those interceptions it would have been a tied game. Football will always be a game of might have beens sometimes it balances out. Our TE Ghent had a 77 yard reception then fumbled the ball away, on reading the play by play I thoight that had blown it for us but the defense stuck to the job well, especially on goal line defense. Montreal played a great game though and without our defense stepping up with the picks it would have been a desperatly close game to call.

Thanks again

Ronnie

Congratulation Ronnie, its great to see a founding member of the FWL win finally the big one.

I still remember our first EFC-Championship game back in season 1 :-)
Stoney case lost the game with a 3 INT performance.

However, I hope you dont mind, Istill would vote for Mark Munro to win the GM of the year award.
Not only is he one of the most active GMs, he also was able to turn around the Raleigh-Durham franchise.
The first playoff appearance ever, the first 1000 yrd rusher in team history, the first ever winning season,
many great games against tough oponents and most important, he has build a team that can go a long
way in upcomming seasons.

So congratulations to the whole Munro Family ;-)

Believe me it was a close decision, but a 16-1 record the joint best ever in the FWL i think deserves GM of th eyear but any other year i think Mark would have won it.  He was 2nd in voting !

Marks turned Raleigh from a lowly team into a very powerful team on both sides of the ball with a ton of talent.  Good drafts and some very good trades have really helped his team.  It shows that with trading teams such as Raleigh/Austria can improve into great playoff teams.

But like i say its good that all GM's in the league are different, if everyone did the same it might be boring. Quite interesting seeing th e different strategies in the league.

But well done to Ronnie, after all those frustrating seasons finally to reach the pinnacle must be very good.  Now the pressures on to keep the title  !

Well done to David as well though, the amount of FWL Bowls hes been in the last 7 seasons is amazing.  I dont think anyone thought in Week 7 when he was 3-4 he would make the FWL Bowl

Injuries / loss of form / FWL Bowl hangover might have hurt Austria, they have a young o-line which will improve but Anes off year hurt the team and the mini QB controversy didnt help there.  Some great teams in the EFC, will be tough for Ronnie next year
