PAWLAWSKI OR KITTNER ?

Kurt Kittner has the Ohio Glory at 4-2 and has a 2 game winning streak but Kittner will return to backup duty as Mike Pawlawski will come back as the starter in a huge game against his former team , the Montreal Machine.  Kittner had played well and had a great rating and 5 td's but some people are surprised by the decision, Pawlawski will have to have a great game to keep the fans quiet.

WHO TO START AT TE ?

The NY Knights have had a lot of injury problems this year, two weeks ago they lost starting TE Adam Young who has started for the Knights for many years.  In came Kori Dickenson, Dickenson came from nowhere to have a huge 120+ yard game in his first start and this week despite just 3 catches caught a bomb from Phil Stambaugh for a td.  Who will start once Young is back ?  Young looks the better TE on paper but Dickenson despite poor physical skills seems to be making all the plays.

WORD SHOWING SIGNS OF AGE

For the first time in his career Monarchs DE Mark Word had no tackles or sacks, can the old pro return ?  He was having a great season with 6 sacks in 5 games but many were stunned at the way he was manhandled by the Berlin offensive line.  "It was just one game" said Word, "I'll bounce back for sure'.  However London will keep an eye on Word to make sure he does rebound.

CHANGE IN LONDONS DEFENSE

They said they would wait a week but the Monarchs made a major change this week moving former DE Burley to DT and moving former DT Junior Ioane to DE2 to partner Mark Word.  Jake Sparks and Burley will be the huge tackles in the middle with veteran Word and the speedy Ioane at DE.  Former starter Eric Powell will get a start later in the year as the team still likes his potential but Powell doesnt seem to perform well in games, just in practice.

PARIS PROBLEMS

Paris are 0-6 and this week lost their best CB Rufus Brown to an injury which practically rules him out the rest of the year as he should miss 7 weeks.  Already Paris are without star HB Robert Edwards, backup Noran Morris is struggling and the Musketeers need to make changes to get the franchise back on pace.  Some fans are grumbling that the team needs a new coach.

PROBLEMS IN FRANKFURT

In the last 4 weeks Frankfurt have scored just 43 points and have lost their last 2 games and 3 of their last 4.  The offense and defense are in the top ten so why is the team just 3-3 ?  They simply dont seem to be making enough plays, several of the losses have been close but last week the Galaxy were whipped by Amsterdam 31-7.  Again the team didnt seem to play too badly on paper but again didnt make enough huge plays. The team lacks a big name WR, one who could stretch the field.  Their longest pass play by a WR is just 39 yards and QB Rohan Davey is in a funk with just 3 td's in 6 games.  On many other teams he would be benched.

RIDERS ALSO STRUGGLING

Another team struggling is the San Antonio Riders, on paper their offense and defense rank 11th and 6th but the main problem appears to be QB Michael Bishop.  Bishop did have a fine game this week but has had several poor ones and has just 4 td's in 6 games which is unheard of for the former gunslinger who has thrown over 20 td's in a single season before.  The Riders seem to change offenses every week which doesnt seem to help the gameplan, will the team get more consistent ?

ADMIRALS TO GO UNBEATEN ?

Amsterdam are 6-0 and for the next 7 weeks dont currently face one team with a winning record.  At this moment in time the only team with a winning record are London and the Admirals face them in Week 14.  Amsterdam have a great chance to get homefield advantage this year which will be huge.  Last year they lost away to Scotland in the EFC Championship.

WUERRFEL ON FIRE

Whatever veteran Machine QB Danny Wuerrfel is on we want some !  Wuerrfel in his 12th year is having a brilliant season with 9 td's in 6 games and has his team at 5-1 and headed so far to the playoffs.  Wuerrfel is holding back the years and could have his best touchdown total in 6 years.  He also had a huge game last week with 48 yards rushing in the win over Austria !  Wuerrfel also hasnt thrown an interception or fumbled the ball in 6 games
