Statistically it was a mess, but the Montreal Machine have won their 4th World Bowl, and Danny Wuerffel is a sho-in for the Hall of Fame as the best QB ever.  Going 11 for 12 for 174 yards, Wuerffel was able to slip past the Amsterdam defense, who held the running game in check.

Weurffel moved to 4-2 all-time in World Bowls, with 5 of those game coming on the road.  Just imagine if we would have been in the Euro division, where we could be assured an extra win or two - good enough to get us home field.

In the win, Wuerffel moved to 5-2 all-time vs. Amsterdam, and 1-0 all-time vs. Joe Hamilton.   In past meetings with AMS, Wuerffel was 3-2 vs Heath Rylance, 1-0 vs. Josh LaRocca, and then 1-0 vs. Hamilton.

At 170 career TD's and 38,247 career yards, Wuerffel is gunning to become the first of the  200/40,000 club.  Montreal management with the win in the World Bowl has extended his
contract to 2-years, giving him the ability to acheieve these numbers.

Hat's off to Stoney Case for his accomplishments in Frankfurt, but it was a strong Bobby Phillps who was the star of that team, and clearly Wuerffel is #1 all-time as a QB.

Wuerffel for his career is 125-59 as a starter (67.9%).  108-53 in regular season (67.1) and 17-6 in playoffs (73.9%).

In his 94 home games, Wuerffel is 78-16 overall (83.0%),... 10-2 (83.3%) in the playoffs.
In his 90 road games, Wuerffel is 47-43 overall (52.2%),... 7-4 (63.6%) in the playoffs.
