Week 14 Preview

Here it is, the final week of the regular season and some great games ahead...
Orlando at Ohio
Many people think Orlando are a sleeping giant who have played well this year but in a lot of tough losses their kicker has let them down. They do need some speed on defense but must be happy with their future. Ohio have nothing to play for, they have the #3 seed and will face Mexico in the playoffs as they have the tiebreaker over Montreal. Will they keep their momentum or play backups ?

Mexico at New York
Mexico also have nothing to play for in Week 14, will they play it safe with backups to risk no injuries ? New York have looked great in recent weeks, HB DeMario Brown has been on fire wanting to show his GM that he is still the best back on New Yorks team. He might also be promoting himself for a trade. Mexico will probably play this one easy not wanting injuries.

Birmingham at Montreal
Must win game for the Machine. If they lose and the Riders win then Montreal will be out of the playoffs. Birmingham have nothing to play for either but might want revenge for past playoff defeats. Montreal have lost two in a row and surely wont lose a third ? Ken Simonton was missed badly last week for the Machine and needs the start here. Birmingham might relax much more in this game but it could be tight.

Raleigh-Durham at Sacramento
QB Drew Olsen was great last week but most of his yards were in garbage time. Raleigh have looked good behind their young QB and HB but their defense has made some plays. Sacramento get the edge as they are at home but have lost 4 straight games.
Sacramento by 3
Rhein at Berlin
Rheins new GM has been non-existant, fans hope he will be active in the offseason. Berlin have a playoff spot but must be hurting after 10 sacks on rookie QB Jeff Rowe last week in a huge loss to the Admirals. The Thunder hope to bounce back with a good performance here.

San Antonio at Frankfurt
The Galaxy are out of the playoffs thanks to results this week but will want momentum for next year. They want a winning record but face San Antonio who badly need the win. The Riders have been eractic this year and with Michael Bishop starting after sitting on the bench all year will they face a rusty QB ?
Frankfurt by 3
London at Amsterdam
Game of the week. This ones for the EFC top seed. Last year London were defeated in the final week of the season to the Admirals and lost the top seed, this year could be the same. Amsterdam after a 0-2 start are full of momentum and a win here at home gives them the top seed. London collasped to Paris this week and will want a much better performance but know it will be tough to win away. Could be a preview of the EFC Championship.

Barcelona at Austria
It seems mathmatically that Austria are out of the playoffs. If Paris win next week Austria are out, if Scotland lose then Austria are out, guess who plays this final week ? Paris and Scotland ! If they tie and Austria win the DarkKnights are in but the odds are slim ! Austrias defense has been super and their offense at times specially last week has been great. They wont want to be known as the team who loses to a 0-13 Barcelona side. The Dragons looked better last week but they missed HB Jamal Robertson who is eager to face his former team. Rookie HB Brandon Warfield looked out of his depth.

Paris at Scotland
Another great game this week. Whoever wins here will take the last wildcard spot. Claymores QB Craig Nall needs one touchdown to set the league mark for td's in a season. Paris are full of momentum after their best win of the year last week and have won 4 straight and are full of confidene. Scotland are 4-2 at home, Paris won just their second away game last week and are 2-4 on the road. Could be a classic, Scotland are favourites because of homefield but Paris are the cinderalla story of the year. Scotland lost their starting HB Sandino Octobre this week to an injury for the rest of the year, Octobre was leading the league in touchdowns so his loss is huge.
