Birmingham would like to welcome the following players:
DL Josh Shaw (From San Antonio)
LB Guy Tuell  (From Paris)
S Marcus Paschal (From Paris)

With these young prospects, Birmingham made a huge investment in their defense.
This season they will be mainly backups, but next season they will battle for a starter position.

We would like to thank the following players and wish them good luck at their new teams:
DB Todd Howard
DL Kevin DeRonde
LB Jens Pettersson

And Paris would like to welcome the newcomers! Petterson and Howard should add some experience to our defense.

It was shame to lose Marcus Paschal, but we felt we needed an instant starter at the safety position. We've picked up a first round pick for next year, so we should be able to draft a decent replacement.

Well was just one game but the new look Paris defense did something right, a week after allowing 58 points you limited Austria to just 11 first downs, just 252 yards offense and 17 points.  Of course Austria had one huge play, the 62 yard sprint for the touchdown, until then your defense were brilliant.  It was one of the highlights in the software.  Paris had their defense bunched up ready to stop the run inside on 3rd and long, McCullough went on sweep to the right, the CB was tight inside and was blocked and McCullough sprinted for the td

Not that it helps but DE Clemons ran all the way over to try and tackle McCullough and dived but McCullough just avoided him and ran down the sideline

Yeah, the defense seemed to step up a gear after last week's catastrophe. Just need to get the offense on track now - one TD in the past three games, four for the season so far is plain bad! Fellow GMs - prepare for trade offers dropping into your inboxes!
