Guard Andy Vincen was a rookie in Season 9 for the Barcelona Dragons (2005) and was inactive the whole year.  He still remembers FWL Bowl IX though as despite being in street clothes he loved being part of a championship side.  "We won the EFC and i thought we would have had years of the playoffs" said Vincen.  Barcelona narrowly lost in FWL BowL IX to Montreal and went to the playoffs for two more seasons.  However then the drought hit them, Jon Kitna retired and the team went downhill quickly.

From 2008 to this season (2015) 8 straight seasons of non-playoff football, no winning records, not even a .500 record, 8 seasons of losing and the team are currently on a 24 game losing streak.

"Its been very tough" said Vincen who is a starter at offensive tackle, "I've been with Barcelona now for 11 seasons and the last 8 years have been very tough.  I do honestly believe that things will change soon, GM (Ross) Mather did a great job with the draft last year and we have a lot of young players who should come good in the near future, we still cant run the ball which I find frustrating, if we can do that then we should start winning again"

But will Barcelona go 0-14 again this year ?

"Man dont say that !  We have some games where we could win them, Paris in Week 14 could be the huge game !" said Vincen.

Barcelona might not have improved in the win column compared to last year but most of the young players getting experience are looking good for the future.
