- It was a day for the secondary with 7 players taken in the 18 picks of the first round. Only 4 offensive players were taken in Round 1 !
- Looks like Sacramento got a bargain in 4th round pick QB Andre Woodson'. Several teams wanted Woodson in Round 4 but Sacramento managed to beat them all to get him.
- Forgot about the secondary ? Mexico seemed to forget about their secondary which needs 2 players to even begin the season as they currently just have 5 !!!
- Surely one of these days Paris will have a great defense, they had a great choice in DE Kevin Huntley but thats now 8 straight defensive 1st round picks chosen for Paris and its time they stepped up.
- San Antonio have become the NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers with the amount of QB's they have in camp, San Antonio drafted two and now have 5 QB's on their roster and another one on the protected list !
- The Skyhawks chose another 1st round HB. They have Jackie Battle on their team who was their top pick two years ago and now chose the top RB in the draft in HB Cuff. Is this the end of Curtis Alexanders career with Raleigh ? With every record now (he does need 32 points to become the first non-kicker to reach 1000 points) the Skyhawks might cut Alexander loose.
