Best ever FWL team in a season ?

Who do you think was the greatest ever team in the FWL ?

I think it was perhaps the 1999 Austria DarkKnights.

They were quickly built into champions in just two seasons.  Look at their star studded team..

QB Josh LaRocca (Great trade), HB Michael Hicks, WR Dedric Smith, Mike Cadore and Lee Morris with TE Derrick Bigger.

A defense featuring S Thad Mersereau, CB Ernie Short, CB Darryll Brothers, LB's Willie Walker, Terrence Cooks, Marc Lillibridge.  A defensive line featuring Brandon Noble, Marco Fenruss, Chad Thorson, DE Dirk Reesing, DT David Sanders.

83 sacks for the defense !  That season they were #2 in points scored, #1 in points allowed (just 121 !) and had the best offense and defense.

For the following four seasons they dominated the FWL and had the best defense 3 years in a row and the best offense 3 out of 4 years.

This is one of the rare moments where i REALLY try NOT to be biased here when i say: Paul, you are dead-right.....

But to me my ´99 - team is currently matched by this-years Montreal Machine. INCREDIBLE FORCE build by a great GM.

Yeah David has built a great squad in Montreal.

Another great story, i mean look back to when he first took over the team.  This was the first ever team to go 0-14, they were terrible.  Year after year he built the squad up and now theyre a great force.  To lead the AFC West considering how tough it is is remarkable.

Montreal really could be the first side to repeat.  There is some bad Montreal news to come out later though. I've ran todays games and i'll upload the files in a few hours once i've finished work and i can get back to my home PC

The Autopilot Austria team of the 2002 season was actually more dominating, but there was no fun in it because A. we knew it was really still Mario's team and B. Mario wasn't around and C. the new GM was a stiff who didn't participate. So yeah, I'm going with the '99 Dark Knights.

I think it was Neil Hendersons brother who took over Austria and basically like you say was on autopilot all year.  Yes on one hand if you have a great team why change it but then again it was boring.

But i think back then that was one reason why i let David Bridson get away with messing up Austria.  We needed a new GM and no one else contacted me apart from him.  The rebuilding idea i could kinda see just because otherwise he could have done nothing to Austria and they might have won again.

But like i said before bad move letting him dismantle Austria like that which was my fault.  Any other strange goings on like that again and the trades/cuts will be cancelled and a new GM found.
